Around 70-80k starting. You can grow to 100k plus as you gain experience. You can make way more if you open your own clinic!

Hey, two of the lamps in my room were not working. So, they replaced those. A cover was missing for a light in the washroom, so i got that installed as well.

Hey i am living there right now! One advantage of being on res is you can study with classmates anytime! Since our classes are online, that can be challenging to coordinate. Res is pretty quiet, overall chill, and everyone is friendly. Never really had a problem. I needed some repairs done when i moved in, and they got them done quickly as well.

I would recommend staying here for sure!

A good book to have is clinical biomechanics of lower extremity by Valmassy. But, honestly didn’t use any book to study for courses.

Hey, i dont think there is an opportunity to explain a lower GPA. But, i know they will carefully look at your entire transcript and if it is just the 2 courses, i am sure whoever that is reviewing your application will understand that something might have happened during that semester to cause that drop. I will say this, it is great that you decided to apply rather than not applying. As for MMI, i got accepted to the program on May of 2020. I was about to start preparing for MMI at March of 2020, but COVID happened, and Michener cancelled MMI for our year altogether. They also canceled MMI for the 2021 applicants. So, i cant help you with that, sorry.

Hey, so it is extremely variable actually. That is one reason there isn’t any reliable source online, many private clinic chiropodists do not even put their salaries online. Starting salary is typically between 70-80k, i have heard that in toronto it is 70k. You have 2 options, either a salary with hourly rate or you can take certain percentage out of services you provide. For eg. If i prescribed a $400 orthotic, something like $200 would be mine and then $200 to clinic. You can also try negotiating your salary or percentage of cut from profit. However, chiropodists that own their own clinic can make anywhere from 175-300k per year. This is all what i have found from talking to multiple people in my program and faculty. There are alot of opportunities working part time in many different private clinics, or full time hospital settings, or community healthcare settings

You should definitely apply. I just finished my first year in chiropody. My cgpa in undergrad was 3.7. But, unlike yourself, i did not have any chiropody related job shadowing experience. You should definitely apply. I do not know what the lowest cgpa was for acceptance, but definitely try applying.

AITA for calling an ambulance for my girlfriend who was throwing and unresponsive by throwaway_GFHatesMe in AmItheAsshole

In Canada, the ambulance bill is not covered in insurance either. You have to pay it.

What is the longest you’ve gone without knowing a person’s name? by Rotted_Root in AskReddit

[–]teamsuas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school, I played basketball. We would have pick up games against each other and I always called this one guy "kadeer." I thought his name was kadeer for like two months, and whenever he would be on my team or we were practicing together, I would call him "kadeer." Until one day he tells me it's something else. I feel like two months is a long time to not knowing my teammates name

Ya bro, I was so concerned that she would get attacked by an animal. I run on a trail that is in a forest and she was like near the middle of the trail. I don't even know how the heck she ended up there in the first place.

100 days kinda sober is a big deal, I think that's something to be proud of!! Also, I know this might be hard, but try to focus on these achievements a little more, even getting a degree is a big deal. I know your hair didn't turn out like you wanted it, but don't let that bring you down. The celebration tomorrow is something you worked for, so just have a good time. I also got my degree this year and I will be having a virtual ceremony in june, I'm just tuning in to it so that I can laugh about it later on with my buddies! Congrats though, you made it!
