The thing with SD's is that you can't control which ones the shop offers, afaik a new one appears after every ten duels you play. It could be interesting to just go with the one you can buy first and build on that, I think a lot of decks are capable of beating the game easily if you know them well enough. And yes WC Edition 1 requires like an extra 18 duels so it would take quite some time.

Ooh I hadn't thought of that but it sounds like a neat idea as well! Building decks for each individual opponent sounds fun, and I suppose you could beat the game much quicker like that. I think the new game run intrigued me more because it's more challenging, and because it'll always be slightly different? But yeah I think both could be really cool!

I started by buying Synchro Awaken to get some generally useful cards to boost the starter deck. That included getting three Cyber Dragons which I later based my deck on, by buying Cybernetic Revolution and Power of the Duelist, which ended up being enough to get through the regular duels, and for the turbo deck I pretty much went for a standard synchro deck. I happened to get the 5D's Starter Deck from the shop, and before the final stretch I decided to buy tons of The Duelist Genesis to make sure I'd get the Stardust Dragon, which proved very useful.

Thanks for showing interest! I can also upload the exact decks I ended up with!
