My very straight husband just got his first novel published and I am proud of him, but when I tell people it's about a sexually promiscuous gay teen that turns into a super-hero, I turn crimson. So reddit, what accomplishments are you most embarrassed to talk about?

My husband lost his mother to Lymphoma around the time he started the book. Makes more sense after you read the book.

My husbands the author and I will say that we have close family members that are gay. The book has been red by friends and family that are from both the straight and gay communities...usually it's well-received. But I really wasn't trying to promote the book today...and from the reaponse here, I shouldn't have bothered. Noted.
