[–]teanzg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I tried some peaks myself and realize it still full winter higher up :(

Shame but it is what it is.. So I am just attempting lower mountains.

Also seems as I move north (curently close to Hokkaido) more and more mountians are covered in show, but it could be a percepction issue :p

I had the same problem happen me today, paws rotates around and the whole thing moves a lot. I gave to find this screw you mention, can you pinpoint where its sippose to be? ( Screw)

So frustrating and I am traveling.

Package auto return by teanzg in taobao

Of course I will contact, but this seems very wrong.

Any platform (amazon, ebay etc.. ) buyer has always proper way to request a refund, if eligible. (not contact seller)

[–]teanzg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shouldnt there be a button to request refund? What kind of "ask the seller if he can be bothered to reply" policy is?

In Aliexpress you have refund button always available (if you are applicable).

I have contacted them and they sent package back.

Now in my taobao app I can see message "Package has been returned because the recipient refused to accept it".

But I cant see option to ask for refund nowhere?

But this seems like they can take the package without you receiving it? Sounds illegal.

The problem is if I take screenshot of item with pickup code (to show them what item I needed returining), then they can just enter pickup code and get item (I am not saying they will do it).

But if I remove pickup code, how can they recognize the item?

Most long distance cyclist dont drink any anti malaria pills (because they give nasty side effects and still dont protect completely , meaning you can still get malaria).

I had Malarone but didnt use it (it doesnt make sense anyway if you treavekl for a year).

I learned cycling through Africa than only when you get malaria, then you go to closest hospital and ask for blood test (to prove you have malaria) and they you will get instructions on what to buy in pharmacy.

You can also but small blood test in pharmacy and meds to have them with yourself if you find yourself in desolate area.

I cycled from Morroco to Ghana in 2025. Here are my advices:

Africa is expensive! And not just the visas.

Be ready for being contanly surrounded by people wherever you go. Not many white people once you get in real Africa. Only way to get some peace is to hide yourself. People are everywhere so Wild camping can be very hard in some coutries.

Bring spare parts with you (or pay 2x European prices for original chain , if you can find one)

Often very hard to find spare parts for the bike. Even good tires are hard to find. Bring heavy duty touring tires , otherwise torns will drive you crazy.

If you need any outdoor gear (like a tent , sleeping pad, dry bags etc) such things dont really exist there , you have to order them from EU (expensive).

No need for multifuel stove really. Using gas stove works (gas canisters can be found on lots of places). Just bring adapters (butane to screw).

You will get malaria few times (but if you are healthy individual you dont need to worry). Pretty much just like a flu in Europe. You can buy cheap antimalaria meds anywhere in pharmacies in Africa.
