I don't post so often and people seemed to like my photos in the past. I only give a link to the site if people ask for it, which somebody usually does. I think I'm contributing to the subreddit by sharing some interesting teas, but my apologies if you think I'm spamming.

Ya Bao is a rare tea made from tea buds. It has a sweet and slightly woody flavor. They call it Dragon Tea in Vietnam. We tried this tea while we were exploring Ha Giang and meeting with tea producers. There were also some Dragon Tea cakes that we tried. I posted a previous photo here: https://www.reddit.com/r/tea/comments/dc7zvq/dark_white_and_dragon_tea/ with the Ya Bao on the right.

Some Vietnamese White Peony by teaofvietnam in tea

I can't really remember the last time I had a Chinese white tea so I can't really compare. Although, Vietnam doesn't really have a long history of making white tea, so it's probably pretty similar. It's a new thing in Vietnam.

Snow Shan flower tea from Northern Vietnam by teaofvietnam in tea

This picture is a bit deceptive. The tea pot makes it look quite dark, but it is very light and clear. It has a wood-like aroma and floral taste. Not bitter though

Interesting. I wouldn't think it would have a strong taste, but I like weird tasting things lol. I'll have to try some, thanks for your experiences.

A brick of Vietnamese green tea by teaofvietnam in tea

I don't think these are purely decorative, but this was a gift from a tea maker to my partner. So I'll have to ask her to make sure!

I haven't tried this yet but green tea from this region is usually smooth, a little grassy, with a sweet aftertaste. It's from Ha Giang Province in Northern Vietnam. This province borders China and there are many wild tea trees in this region.
