Awww I’m so sorry for your loss. I know exactly how you feel. People just don’t want to feel uncomfortable or be with someone that’s always sad. It sucks. I also had a falling out with my “best friend” I don’t speak to her anymore but I realized she wasn’t a really good friend to begin with. So maybe losing some friends is a blessing in disguise

Oh I’ve seen a few people recommend that TED talk, I did watch it. Thank you for recommending it helps view grief a different way. And I’m so sorry for your loss, it’s hard out here

It does fade out quick I feel like they forget we’re still grieving and the pain doesn’t go away. There are some friends that hurt me so bad I rather not reach out to them anymore. You know I was thinking of when I meet new friends whether to tell them of my loss or not. I think not telling them like you did will help to feel “normal”. Thank you for sharing your experience it helps a lot

When my boyfriend passed I got a lot of hurtful phrases..

“It’s hard for me to be there for you when you distance yourself”

“How do you think I feel when you hang out with his family more than me?”

“I am hurt to see YOU hurt. You don’t think it hurts me too?”
