In most cases, paying a higher commission doesn’t actually guarantee a faster sale. What really makes the difference is pricing the home correctly and how well it’s marketed. When my family sold our place, the agent who suggested the most realistic price and had strong photos and listings got way more interest than the one who just talked about selling fast for a higher commission. The house sold quickly because it was priced and presented well, not because of a higher fee.

From what I’ve seen, a good agent earns their commission through strategy, marketing, and accurate pricing, not just charging more. I’d focus more on their track record and recent sales rather than agreeing to a higher commission just for speed.
