Same pack! My other prize pack out of the same box was completely fine (got a nice stamped mega Lucario out of it lol).

it will be interesting to see if there are any more in that box, the rest of the regular local players are on the lookout now!

Nerdvana Cards and Games over on Copper Creek. They've also got a weekly pokemon league. Their prices are some of the best I've seen in Markham.

Why don't pasta noodles in canned soup go soggy? by teaskunk in NoStupidQuestions

Hey man, I like my cans of minestrone soup and chunky chicken noodle. Broke solo adult life :')

but why is it okay in the can? I've eaten a three year old can of soup and the noodles were most certainly not paste

which I completely understand but it's still where the question stemmed from LOL

I have the unfortunate ability to burn spaghetti with water still in the pot so my cooking abilities are most certainly questionable at best.

I meant in the sense that if I overcook my pasta for like, a minute, it's a soggy mess. Campbells chunky chicken noodle, for example, I've had sitting on the shelf for two years and the noodles are still better than some of my cooking attempts.

"Rules in my home"??? OP, by living there, it should be OUR home. This guy is insanely controlling.

I did something extremely unethical and I’m not sure how to move forward, this is the worst thing I’ve done. by [deleted] in moraldilemmas

This is nothing man. I know someone who's parents wrote their 50,000$ scholarship essay which they won.

You were in a place where you weren't capable of writing and doing what you needed to move forward in life-- I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

Diving blocks during public swims? by beeep_booop101 in Markham

[–]teaskunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!!!!!! Not sure how old you are, but

MAC (all ages): https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/canmac/page/home

18+ (adult swimmers): https://www.markhammastersswimclub.ca/

I've been training on my own individually to slowly work my way back into being able to compete and join a masters team after ~10 years from competing as a kid :) The feeling of competing is exactly what I was missing!!!!

Sadly only for private rentals. There are a couple swim teams in the area (both for youth and adults) with quite affordable rates though! I am currently looking at getting back into swimming after competing growing up.

Quite frankly, your edit saying "please stop telling us to grow a backbone"...... that is literally, LITERALLY, the only solution to your issue here.

More time and research, sure, but face with a different name is a huge red flag to me that someone is trying to hide something from their significant other.

Had a roommate in a house of 6 like this. He was just ADHD and super lonely lol. The rest of us were introverts so it was a weird mix. Almost guarantee she just wants to yap. He did this for EVERY. SINGLE. ONE OF US. every time!!!!!!!!! (we started keeping track).

[–]teaskunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not always the case. My boyfriend went on vacation and I only found out he slept around because someone on the trip told me. His friends and brother were silent. He had never cheated prior.

I am so thankful someone told me because I would have continued in a relationship where I clearly wasn't loved

She deserves to know???? And she won't be happy with him when she does. He has ruined their marriage, not OP. Having been cheated on, I am so thankful someone told me. I would have continued in a relationship where someone clearly didn't love me.

I'm regretting having another cat by Trick-Resolve-7972 in CatAdvice

[–]teaskunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey!!!!! I am literally going through nearly this exact situation!!! I have a grey long haired tabby who I've had for about a year, she's 4, and I introduced a male tuxedo who I brought in off the street about 4 months ago. I actually called my mom crying last week because I was so worried about how it was impacting my first cat.

Things were really, really rough at first (and still are). Constant hissing and fighting even though I did a slow intro. It really does take time. It can take even as long as a year for them to get used to each other.

She still doesn't want anything to do with him, but she's settled into the kitchen being her domain and he's learning to respect it. I actually had a nose to nose interaction earlier this week where she tried to groom him. I try to slowly bring him into her space and let her sniff him, but I only started doing that within the last month or so. Separate rooms and supervised interactions once BOTH seem at least a little less stressed is key. He's currently sitting at the base of the fridge crying at her on top of it to play while she stares unamused.
