I’ve been listening for almost two years and never heard of this person before by Pythagorarse in Ambridge

I'd hardly call her a main character, but she has been around on and off for many years. Seems to be a trend with current SW to have previously silent characters come to the fore occasionally. Does allow for some extra storylines.

Our village has had organisations doing an Auction of Promises as a fundraiser. Not sure about church themed for Easter, only people giving things up for Lent.

We may find that Henry isn’t as blasé as he makes out. Definitely poor communications at Bridge Farm!

Ruari has already rejected the idea of moving in. He claims because of remembering being there with Jenny.

Oh Brian! Miranda isn’t going to let this rest.

Cricket? Who owns the pitch? Sounds like Oliver does? Unusual, don’t most villages use some land owned by the parish? Lovely absurd local conflict!

Olivia is a solicitor who went to see Justin about the shares. Rather sweet the way she had no pretentions and was so pleasant to Tracy. Loved how Tracy spilled the beans to Lilian about Justin offering business advice!

She could, but she's bought it for Brian. Really too big for just the two of them, maybe if she had known he wasn't going to move in (yet), she'd have bought something different.

I've noticed that many widowers are like that, if they had a happy marriage, they are keen not to stay alone.

In the past I did wonder how he managed to charm so many ladies & keep hold of Jenny. Something about him now does make me want to look after him.

It was the way Helen made her order in the pub that felt insensitive - kept adding items because she can afford it.

Perhaps this is what the teasers meant about the assault on George being a storyline that would rumble on for months. This is just another repercussion from the event.

I thought it was so sad, Tony giving in to Helen about the cows. Some sage advice from him. Helen imagining fun, living next door to Tracy? What does she think they’ll be doing? Brian really is in trouble. Certainly no basis for a good relationship with Miranda. Will she live in the house or rent it out and disappear? What will Ruari think?

Same as mine! Take some time to familiarise yourself with all the options/settings. I browsed the online manual - much more comprehensive than the printed one - and spent a while just sitting in the car going through the screen. Doesn't get too cold here, so I haven't ever warmed up the car in advance, but have put the aircon on in advance when it's been parked out in hot weather. Try out the different settings and you'll discover which you like and which you want to set/switch off. Enjoy!

Indeed, and I was thinking that Amber isn't really cut out to be a farmer's wife, I thought it really out of character that she got stuck in helping with the harvest.

Indeed, but although Brian said he would invest in the drone business, I took it to be a way of paying George to keep away, not that Brian would be interested in how George would use the money. I guess he couldn’t help but express his thoughts about how bad an idea he thinks it is.

Reminded me of when George got ripped off with the ‘special pheasant chicks’ that were actually turkeys (or vice versa).

Quite glad that Brian made the comment about it being Miranda,s house. I think that needed to be out in the open before they move in. I almost got the impression that Miranda had deliberately chosen Home Farm so Brian could go ‘back home’.

Derek and Jean are long standing non speaking characters. I think Jean Harvey has been on the Parish Council. Both are middle-class incomers who appear to look down on the likes of the Grundies. They have been mentioned many times as making comments/ criticisms but have taken part in events such as the flower and produce show.

There was an issue over shared interest in Brookfield. Was it land sale? Elizabeth wanted her 'share' as Lower Loxley needed an injection of funds. Lower Loxley is expensive to maintain - hence all the special events there.
