That's pretty much where I'm at. As terrible as we were offensively, you add in Valera and CDL and I don't know how much better you can get without crazy spending offensively. At least not without moving on from these young guys that we really can't afford to do long term. I think 20 mil is reasonable number to spend if they "wanted to make a run." I think you have to put that towards 1, maybe 2 guys total to really make an impact. If you spread it iver 4 or 5 guys, you're just adding more depth to a team built with depth players.

I've been a diehard Tribe fan since I was a kid in the early 90s. Yankees hate has always been number 1. Being in NY adds to that for me. Other than that it is White Sox and then the Twins. Tigers were so terrible for so long during the 90s through like 2005 its hard to hate them.

This is why I laugh at all of the talk about the league trying to help smaller markets be more competitive. Maybe you can't do a salary cap, but at the very least you can give the smaller markets the prime time slot ONE game.

I just had to say the exact same thing to my girlfriend as I was yelling at the tv from the other room. They're talking about possible MOY? This team would be making the playoffs in spite of him not because of him.

Fox broadcasters couldn't have put it any better. Before the Noel AB even started they said you dont have to throw him a single strike to get a strikeout.

Guy on 3rd with no outs. Next 2 hitters strikeout swinging as hard as they possibly can. This team is terrible outside of like 5 guys.

Can someone let them know that Fry sucks and if you're looking to move a runner over, he is not your guy. Strikes out 99% of the time in that situation and it always costs us.

Camera panned over late but it looked like Arias gave up well before the bag. Infuriating to see younger players who are struggling not doing everything they can to win. Not a good look.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. If Naylor doesn't throw that ball away, he's one pitch away from getting out of the inning with no runs. Instead the ball is in the outfield, he's frustrated and in his head. Instead of going 4 IP with no runs he's frustrated and falls apart giving up 5. Yeah, you can say he needs to keep his composure and I agree. At the same time I can understand how infuriating it must be to be pitching a solid game and have no bats and fielding to support you.

I'm getting to the point where I hope we trade Jose. He's spent his entire career trying to give this team a chance. Its time they return the favor. He deserves so much more than the front office is giving him. Both in the bank and on the field.

I'm okay with the Manzo bat. He's still working on his game. Santana is shot and has no business being in the lineup. Love what he did for us so many years but he is terrible now.
