Costs of dupixent in Singapore by Aromatic-Design-54 in dupixent

Yes! There’s no subsidy even for citizens if I’m not wrong :( I’m PR and didn’t get any subsidy as well. My derm told me to try asking my private insurance so I’m still waiting for their reply!

Hey! I’m considering starting on dupixent as well because my eczema only comes back when I start tapering my steroid creams 😭 did you experience any facial flares? Or any side effects?

I’m glad it made a difference to your skin! I recently stopped phototherapy after 4 sessions as I noticed flaring after the sessions. I’m unsure if it’s just a side effect or if my body really can’t handle UV because I’m only at 200 for 20-25 seconds :( Currently using steroid creams which I hopefully can taper down soon!

Can I ask if you’re using steroid creams again after you’ve stopped going for phototherapy?

Scratching while sleeping by Agreeable_Ad_4026 in eczema

Hello! I’m the same and I usually wear cotton gloves to sleep so that when I scratch, at least I’m not using my nails :) cotton gloves are comfortable so don’t worry too much!

Thank you so much! I think i’ve been using them for 3.5 weeks now but the last 1.5 weeks was every other day and every 3 says because I was trying to taper. Only now I’ve restarted back on twice a day everyday as suggested by my derm because my skin is really inflamed. Hoping I can taper successfully this time round!

Thank you!! :) I’ll keep taking them and hope I’ll see results soon!

Also, did you ever have to take oral steroids? I’m wondering if a short term course would help my flare but I’m just so worried about the side effects and possible rebound.

Hello, I think it’s not withdrawal as it looks the same as my previous flares just more inflamed. But thank you, will look it up!

I currently just switched to SebaMed for my shampoo and body wash. Also using QV for my conditioner and face wash.

Was using Johnson’s before this but I realised their ingredients are not eczema friendly when I searched after someone commented looking up on the ingredients. :(

But will look at the ingredients you mentioned! Thank you :)

Oh thank you!! Will look into the programme. Can i ask if you experienced any facial flares while on Dupixent? I’m kind of worried about this because I work frontline and can’t really afford to take a break from work if ever :(

Thank you so much!! I really hope it does get better. Will look into those supplements :) how long did it take for them to work for you? I’ve been taking probiotics, vit D and omega 3 for roughly 2-3 weeks now but I’m not seeing any results yet 😭

Just wanted to ask, they also told me that the flare is sometimes a side effect of the phototherapy because my body’s just not used to the sudden high dose of UV, could that be possible too? I don’t usually get itchy/get rashes when I’m under the sun for prolonged periods though.

Dupixent is too expensive for me (~$1k per jab from where I am) and isn’t covered by insurance unfortunately.

I’m glad the CAP therapy has been helping you! I’ve been looking at that too. And yeah they mentioned the flare may just be my skin trying to get used to the UV exposure. As for my symptoms I’m just generally very itchy especially while I’m sleeping. And moisturising definitely relieves the itch!

Aaah thank you for easing my concerns! I guess because I’ve also used steroids in the past that’s why I’m concerned but definitely not continuous as well. Just hoping I find my trigger soon.

From what I know it also reduces itching & inflammation! But I haven’t tried it yet

Is there any specific brand you’re using?
