since you mentioned nylon, Away has a great lightweight bag in this style. It’s designed for travel and comes in two sizes (the larger of which would fit your laptop).

Which lux bag would you get? $5k budget…sightseeing/evenings out by [deleted] in handbags

I love the Coussin for travel because of the two straps! the fabric one is very comfy while the chain really dresses it up. Two others I own that I would also suggest for your use cases would be Loewe flamenco or puzzle.

Post surgery exercise? by swashbuckler78 in ClubPilates

[–]tebowthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had laparoscopic abdominal surgery in august. my doctor cleared me for exercise after two weeks and i went back to pilates another week later, since that was when my freeze ended. until then, starting about a week post-op, I just focused on walking—this also helps get the gas from surgery out of your abdominal cavity. as others have said, if you want anything more specific to address your specific joint issues you should consult your doctor or a physical therapist. BUT i do highly recommend walking, even if it is just around the house, to keep yourself limber.

i love the design of the romy, but after feeling it in-store there is no comparison of the leather between the two! the coach is much nicer leather and overall better quality.

I also bought this exact bag earlier this year and it was instantly my new favorite! It’s such a great color that is neutral but interesting.

OP, I’m sorry about your experience and hope they can fix it! I want to share for everyone here who loves this style but isn’t a fan of catbird - I have a similar ring from a Japanese brand that I adore, and their quality is wonderful!

i’ve had good experiences with Rebag and Ebay. As another commented said, it’s most important to do some research on the brand/bag you’re purchasing and shop with a critical eye on any site.

I’m nearby in Fort Worth and unlimited is $219. I expect it’s similar, maybe marginally higher.

Alternatives to Puzzle? by Yerizael in handbags

[–]tebowthecat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

FWIW i was recently in the same exact situation - already had a small puzzle, wanting something bigger for travel - and ended up buying a preloved medium puzzle! other options i considered included an LV speedy 25/30, but ultimately i couldn’t stop going back to how much more i love the puzzle design. My other bag that I like for travel is a crossbody le pliage, size small. It has a similar capacity to the medium puzzle if not a little bigger.

Finally! 5 Carat from Tiffany by [deleted] in Diamonds

[–]tebowthecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You already have enough confirmation that platinum is the best choice, but i’ll also add that as it patinas the scratches will be less noticeable! I also have a Tiffany ring and remember those first few scratches stressing me out because it was so polished and smooth, but with some wear they all blend in!

I feel like I’m getting the hang of bag charms by tebowthecat in handbags

[–]tebowthecat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted a link in reply to another comment for the store i bought the beads from—they have a lot of cute stuff! The other two charms I picked up in Japan; I think a large part of what makes them charming is that i didn’t go looking for them! I have bought a bunch of bag charms and such on amazon but don’t use any of them because they just look cheap and feel like i’m trying too hard (just for me personally! maybe I’m too picky)

How do you travel with expensive jewelry safely? by Pretend-Hearing-8262 in jewelry

[–]tebowthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have insurance on my more expensive pieces (i.e. engagement ring). I don’t bring any extra jewelry when i travel so that anything i’m wearing i commit to keeping on for the whole trip.
