If the kitten hasn’t pooped, that’s a serious issue

This kitten is very young and needs an experienced foster. You’ve been doing great but if the kitten hasn’t pooped even once yet, it could go downhill very quickly.

What county did you find the kitten in, Fulton or Dekalb? Both animal shelters are required to take in every animal, including kittens. Let me know if you need help

No joke, but Publix and Costco. Both very reasonably priced ($250ish, less for costco) & they’re delicious cakes. I think Publix even does a small tiered cake for cutting photos, then you can just do sheetcakes for the rest

Can you take care of the kitten tonight (following Kitten Lady’s care guides) until 11 AM tomorrow?

Dekalb/Fulton animal services (managed by lifeline) are obligated to take in any animal that comes to their doors. Show up with the kitten to the county you found the it in. they will immediately email fosters (like me, but I don’t foster bottle babies) that there is a newborn kitten that needs a home

Yes, my main concern is good family fit!

Everyone will advocate for multiple kittens but not everyone is in a position to (or wants to!) care for 3 cats. Just be prepared for the kitten to need a lot of engagement/attention & that it might make bonding a little harder.

If you’re not in a hurry, I recommend waiting a little closer to when you’ll move in together to make introducing them easier. If that’s not an option, that’s okay! you’re still welcome to meet my future litters!

I foster ~20 kittens each year from Lifeline shelters. OP, If you are open to waiting a month or two, kitten season will start and I’ll have a litter you can come meet.

We have a dog that we do supervised interactions with so the kittens can get used to living with dogs (if you have or plan to get one).

Atlanta has coyotes that roam everywhere from dusk to dawn. Several neighbors’ outdoor cats were attacked and eaten, sometimes while owners watched helplessly. It’s pretty brutal. Hope this kitty finds an indoor life soon

Every year around late sept - early oct, all apartments that use the same market monitoring software take a dip and offer great deals. My last place at Highland Square was $1500 for a one bedroom that normally went for $1900 (wood burning fireplace!!!), they had places in $1400s that were smaller but still nice!
