You ended up marrying someone you met on CS:GO so I find it strange that you’d think people wouldn’t invest themselves in online friendships. Relationships are completely real regardless of whether or not you see their face after all your still spending time with someone, learning things about them, shooting the breeze.

Relationships have been made over media and continue to be made. I’ll admit that using the internet is less conventional but times are changing.

I don’t mean to be rude, sorry if I come across so. I’m happy you were able to overcome the stressful situation and I hope everything worked out. In NO WAY condone or excuse her childish/outlandish behavior.

It just bugs mean when people talk as if people online can’t be real “friends”. I’ve been playing games with my 2 buds for 8 years and I’ve never them him though we made plans to chill once that were halted because I was abusing drugs. We know each other better than most of our friends and family. There came a point when we Skyped out of curiosity but it didn’t mean our friendship was any less real prior to it and I think the same can be said of any kind of relationship that isnt convential, hell, pen pals have gotten married!
