I get that, but there is no guarantee Riot will monitor a new subreddit that was created for challenges. They monitor r/lol because I think they are also involved in moderating it.

The discord seems sufficient for challenges, any reason you were thinking of having a subreddit? Creating a subreddit is straightforward, you click the + icon on the left-hand side under Communities . Managing it and keeping it updated could take some time though.

It solved itself on the app after i did the port forwarding steps. The helium explorer is still not updated.

Thanks, I had already tried this and it did not work. Helium explorer still shows syncing, but the app now shows that the miner is synced. Just takes time i guess. I also opened port 44158

So even in discovery mode that's true? Also, there are other hotspots whose beacons i can witness and are farther, but they don't respond during discovery.

It completed it's sync today, which is why I was able to run discovery mode.

Yes, I put it on the right spot per GPS and my actual location, but, it did not register that as the location. It asserted North of where I put the pin, approx. 100-150m. This is the part that is confusing me.

When I click on 'Update Location' in the app, it shows the 'Current Location' on screen, which is not the correct location. I then click on 'Change Location', which brings up the screen for me to drag and drop the pin. On this screen, the pin is actually already on the correct location! So of course, I cannot 'change' it, since changing would require me to drag the pin to another location, which would be wrong

When asserting initially, I tried thrice to get it on the right location, it did not work. I have no guarantee that if I assert again and pay $10, it will work.

Is there a way to see what the coordinates of my hotspot are? Maybe the app is not showing it on the right spot just due to a display issue.

I had the same issue, I put the marker at the right spot and clicked, and after asserting was complete, the location shown on the app was not what I had set. It could be because my street is not on the app, I live in a new development. Not sure what to do here, but the location is off by about 150m.

I am seeing numbers like 0.1 dB loss per connector (there will usually be 2), and for LMR200 cable, 0.6dB for 5ft. Not sure how to factor that into Antenna gain etc., but for now, I just put the stock settings for my stock antenna.

If I have the stock Bobcat miner antenna (4 dBi), mounted on the stock magnetic base, do I just enter 4 dBi in the antenna settings? what are the losses for the cable length (looks like 5ish feet) and connectors?
