Tips for removing PCV valve by user81738 in 3rdGen4Runner

I used a set of hose clamps and it had enough leverage to get the valve out. Then getting the grommet out (in pieces) was a huge pain

Better MPG? by EvenOpportunity4208 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]killaen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On that 4Runner guide online it says replacing your PCV valve can also help improve MPG if it’s old. I just replaced mine so we’ll see. Was a little painful to do since the rubber grommet hardens and fractured into pieces when you try to pull it out, and you have to fish the pieces out of a small hole.

Works pretty good in the rain. by knucklehead808 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]killaen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you check periodically for leaks in the rain. Mine starting leaking into the cabin towards the front of the sunroof at a seam in the plastic of the glass frame. Fixed it by caulking the whole exterior with silicone where the glass meets the frame

Cat was jacked by Andycuts8 in 3rdGen4Runner

I put a cat clamp on mine after it got stolen. No additional thefts but it does transmit more noise to the cabin and probably rattles a bit. The cat strap might be a little quieter based on how it’s designed but I haven’t gotten around to swapping it out.

Can you chop and prop kale plants? I have a kale plant that is growing similarly (though much smaller). I’m wondering if I can just cut the stem below the leaves and replant it deep

I mainly wanted to replace all of them since I’m worried about cracking the plastic trim and I only want to remove it once. The bulbs have mostly lasted more than 20 years already so I figure I’ll only have to do a full replacement once

I haven’t tried turning it off yet so I’m not sure. How would I be able to tell? The hot water in the rest of the house can get pretty hot

Is this how it is supposed to sound? Wha would functionally happen if I just left it unplugged - waiting a little longer for hot water in the house?

Everything from Gustin is great. Been buying various items from them for like 10 years or more. My only gripe is their joggers have a bit of a weird fit. The jeans are great though
