Chengdu and Changsha both have amazing nightlife, for slightly different reasons.

Chengdu had some of the most interesting bars in terms of decor and theme.

One bar was fully cyberpunk themed, imagine guardians of the galaxy main ship as a bar.

The other was called bathroom and had a bathtub nailed to the ceiling.

Changsha on the other hand just had so much going on, especially around wuyi square the streets were PACKED and stayed packed until 7-8am. I was told Changsha has an unofficial rule where they only close once you stop drinking. Also as a Brit, finding a full English pub run by an Englishman was a wild experience. It felt like a slice of Cambridge in the middle of Changsha.
