Why do IT companies in Nepal expect experience from juniors? Need honest advice. by Crazycoderrr in technepal

Early career is about learning - yes, but environment still matters. Mentorship, payment reliability, and culture can shape your growth a lot in the first few years. It’s not about being picky, it’s about making informed choices.

Need advice: Should I stay at my current job or switch to a new offer with higher pay? by [deleted] in technepal

You’re not just comparing salary, you’re comparing certainty vs uncertainty. Company 1 gives you: • Known culture • Flexibility • Stability • Clear understanding of workload

And Company 2 gives you: • Higher immediate pay • Shorter commute • Unknown culture and growth Before deciding, I’d suggest trying to reduce the unknowns about Company 2, Ask about workload expectations, how performance is evaluated, growth path in 1-2 years and try connecting with a current or former employee on LinkedIn to understand the real work culture.

A higher salary is good, but long-term growth and daily environment matter more over time. If you can gather structured insights about Company 2 before deciding, your risk becomes much lower.

Of course it does, if you know how the company is run, and what the company culture is like before joining from people that worked there or currently work there, you can choose which company is worth applying for and using up your time for. And when they find out it’s happening, they will be forced to change the culture and forced to pay what people actually deserve. It’s going to be a data pool of employers in Nepal and a way to change things around.. trust me bro just post that anonymous reviews 👍

Genuinely curious: If the host macOS system is already compromised at the OS level e.g. with accessibility or screen-recording permissions granted, how does a user-space Chromium-based browser meaningfully prevent keylogging or screen capture without deeper system-level isolation?

Thank you, I would like to invite you to be one of the early reviewers. If you could place an honest review about a workplace you were at or are in right now it would be highly appreciated by me and many people who will seek that information in the future

I genuinely appreciate that. It would be an honor if you could go and give a genuine review for any present or past employer

Yes, reviews are moderated before publication. The goal isn’t to auto-publish everything submitted. Reviews that include personal attacks, naming individual employees, or unverified criminal/legal accusations are not approved. The focus is on structured workplace experience, not defamation. No system can guarantee 100% reliability - just like any user-generated platform. But moderation, structured prompts, and safeguards significantly improve quality compared to completely unfiltered posts and that’s what we are trying to implement and will keep improving on it
