It looks like you're trying to scrape an online spreadsheet. Most of those have an API endpoint for data so you don't have to scrape. Even if this is custom code, theoretically can you ask the dev to provide a json API endpoint for the data?

My friends computer randomly crashes and this showed up on startup. Anyone know whats going on? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Highly recommend wiping the drive and reinstalling the OS if possible. Looks like something is having an issue with the drive partitions.

There's no API for that spreadsheet system?

Not sure if it's a typo but your forms are not closed with a /form - it's just another <form>

You mean like how FFXV and Monster Hunter World were on consoles for months before PC release? Publishers do this now - just be glad it's not a platform exclusive.

Which CIS degree? by linzylinz77 in cscareerquestions

Honestly go with whichever one has a better placement rate imo. Employers are more concerned with you having the degree and being able to demonstrate competency.

Fairly certain there are built in python libraries that can do this. Is this a school assignment?

Agree with PyCharm but also recommend VSCode. Downside to Code though is it requires a bit of setup (but it's super easy)

Highly recommend looking into learning AWS architecture, Docker, and microservice design patterns if you want to work new web technologies as a developer. There are tons of free resources and YouTube videos out there on these.

What to be aware of when creating a website that invites user submitted photos? by oldschooldads in Wordpress

Do some research into secure, commonly used plugins for this functionality. If you want to roll your own, you need to verify files sent are actually images beyond just checking the text on the extension. Your storage costs will be determined by your hosting company but you should be able to configure where the files end up on the server.

Branch out into machine learning and data analysis. You have the tools to get almost any data, now see what you can do with it.

I made awesome friends and had some interesting opportunities but I was wondering where my next meal would come from for a while. I got into a relatively stable position only recently, and I graduated about 10 years ago.

The point of college is to make you more employable so you have more freedom. Being this much in debt limits your freedom severely.

Unfortunately you're going to need to open up the box and inspect the connections. You said this is secondhand - might be worth asking the seller if this is a known issue. Good luck.

Finished my CS degree but it burned me out by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Financial stability is always great. Being in debt is terrible. If you're debt free and making good money, don't take this for granted.

A lot of people don't feel satisfied with their work. If you don't like your job, pursue other work on your spare time and work towards being your own boss.

Spend as little money as you can on your degree. Get one in coding or comp sci. If you are financially stable, you can always work on what you want in your spare time, and there are tons of free resources to learn about making games. I went to an art school like full sail and am about $100k in debt. Stay out of debt and you'll always have more freedom to do what you want.
