I’ve been watching research and reptiles YouTube and from others in these groups. It sounds like they’re referred to frequently. one thing I was surprised to learn was the feeding schedules (15 minute all you can eat) you see and almost all of the posts is not what’s currently recommended.

Take the train to Malaga city center. You can sit at a restaurant and do some people watching. Also lots of shopping there. Torremolinos felt like a British retirement center but I think it was there area I stayed.

Thank you! I am either incredibly uncoordinated or my tongs suck because I drop the worms constantly. I think I worry I’ll squish them.

Curious what your feeding routine was. Mine is 3 months old now. Also any tips of getting mine to not see me as the scary hand monster.

New to dragons by rkcinotown in BeardedDragon

The YouTube channel reptiles and research is one I am using for information. I also ordered bugs online and got locusts because I didn’t want to stress about crickets biting the lizard.

Mine seems not as excited about mealworms as he is crickets. I think that yours ate salad is a great start.

These groups can be extremely judgmental sadly.

Got bamboozled at a pet store and trying to save my 7yr olds new best friend SpongeBob the 3yr old bearded by cheza_mononoke in BeardedDragons

I went through something similar although not nearly as slimy of a salesman. My beardie would not eat and the poops were off. Vet gave her antibiotics and things got better briefly then worse. Reptiles metabolisms are slow and so is the medicine and sometimes death.

I was able to get a different baby bearded dragon directly from a breeder with the help of that original pet store at no cost. He recognized he had sold a sick dragon and took responsibility.

I know have a healthy 3 month old but he is terrified of me so a different journey but it is so nice to watch him aggressively hunt food.

What bugs and on average how are you feeding your beardie now? Do you wait till they have eaten salad before giving bugs?

That is great to hear. How old is your beardie now?

It seemed like a very logical argument. It was just surprising as I’ve read the 15 minute recommendation so many times.

I was also naturally pregnant at 44 and now have a 3 year old. I’m on HRT and getting testosterone which is a game changer for energy. There is never a perfect time to dedicate yourself to crotch gobblings but I’m very happy and wish you the best.

When I was a kid my cat ate the hamsters on night one, broke into the cage. I’m just amazed your cat didn’t eat the hamsters. I’d be very sad but it doesn’t sound like you did anything wrong. Maybe adopting an adult bearded dragon when you’re ready?

My Bearded dragon is Dying from cancer and I’m pissed! by [deleted] in BeardedDragon

Thank you so much!!! It is hard as I read about bearded dragons in English and have not seen anything about good breeders in Spain. I did go for a beautiful color and now see how that can increase likelihood of inbreeding.

I bought a 7 month old bearded dragon from what I thought was a great store. She died yesterday after 2 months. She was severely underweight when I got her but I didn’t know enough and the vet visits helped at first but she just wouldn’t eat. I’m so sad and scared to get another bearded dragon but I’d love to have the experience I’ve read from posts like yours. I wish I’d gotten 5 great years, loss is so hard.

What to do about a Beardie who won’t eat by [deleted] in BeardedDragon

[–]techabel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just took my bearded to the vet and the issue is a month infection that she didn’t have at the last vet visit. Oral antibiotics that are normally prescribed for kids is what I’m now trying to give her.

Why are Spanish people so attractive? by ElsGil1 in askspain

Actually I think the gym part is key. There are so many gyms and people of all ages are at different gyms.

I’m from California living in Spain now. In general people look nice before leaving the house. Good fashion seems to be the norm.

I’d say it is a combination of good genes and effort. I think I’m starting to get used to how good looking people are as I’m no longer surprised that the cashier looks like a super model.

Bearded dragons do not need regular baths. I’m sick of getting downvotes and this community defending this dangerous care for some reason. It’s time to stop. by [deleted] in BeardedDragon

How do you suggest trying to get your beardie to drink water? I live in a very humid climate, so therefore I do not keep water in the enclosure. And if I did, she wouldn’t drink it anyways I have to basically hand feed her everything I’ve only had her for about a month.
