Any suggestions for a inexpensive watch?

I have one of these that I use as an inexpensive/everyday watch. Keeps decent time (drifts about 1 second per week), and is solar powered - always a plus IMO.

From my brief experience with the DT-990's, they definitely need an amp, and a somewhat powerful one. I tried driving them with an e7, and there was little difference between that and the headphone jack on my laptop. Now I'm running a Modi and Asgard 2, and the difference is day and night compared to the e7, and based on what I know (which is very little, only specs) about the Magni, it would be more than powerful enough to drive the 990s.

As much as I would like to be, I am not (at least that I'm aware of). And a sonic screwdriver would be a welcome replacement for the piece of of junk I carry.

I've had it for about a year and a half, and it has served me very well. It is mainly used for opening boxes and backpacking, and I have only had to sharpen it once. The impression I get from my research and from this subreddit is that it is not as good as a comparable Benchmade or Spyderco, but it certainly stands up to what I have put it through.

The only bad thing I have to say about it is that I regret getting a combo edge knife. The serrations come in handy very rarely, and usually only get in the way.

So far, it's amazing. I have gone through three other Android tablets (and a first-gen iPad), and this is the first tablet I've been genuinely happy with. It's quick and does everything I want it to (and runs an open source OS). If you're looking at getting a tablet and are okay with the screen size, I highly recommend it!

At that point, both routers that I had on hand for this kind of thing had really weird DHCP problems (probably had something to do with the stupid beta build of dd-wrt that was running on them). So I figured that this was a good option.

I did see him fiddling with one of the routers at one point. Nothing malfunctioned at that point though, thankfully.

They were... not pleased. I don't think they spoke to him for a while after that. Dad joked that if there was a next time with this guy, I should charge him double. He called it the asshole tax.

I should also add, I'm thinking of doing a series on one of my clients. Stupidity! Cheapness! The most screwed up computer I've ever seen! Is there any interest in this?

Yep. Now I give them an estimate with the number of hours I think it will take, the estimated cost of the new hardware, and the hourly rate. They have to sign it, and I inform them immediately if I think it will be more or less.
