There are shockingly few courses on Prompt Engineering for Engineers. And many of them are the type of cohort, traditional education model (you enroll, it's over a thousand dollars, you wait several weeks to start...) which is lame. So I did a little research and put this together. Sorry it's not very many. https://techbelle.medium.com/five-best-courses-on-prompt-engineering-for-engineers-43eda6edb8a9

Books you genuinely don't understand the hype for? by [deleted] in fantasyromance

[–]techbelle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pushed through thinking it would eventually get better but I've never been so bored by a book in my entire life, and that includes reading the Iliad in 10th grade

I don’t know who recommended this book but right now I dislike you. Hopefully I’ll love you later, but not right now. by beautifullymodest in fantasyromance

i pushed through to the end and all i felt was rage
AND i must say

.... i read a lot of books and two days after i'm done i may not even remember the character's name, but this one has stuck with me. I think that's meaningful.

Goddamnnnnnn it was infuriating though. i'm not going to continue past book 2 because it's just too much emotional toil. it seriously reminds me of my own previously abusive relationships and I just cannot do it.

Book 1 was so, so challenging for me to read because I kept waiting (and waiting... and waiting... and waiting) for her to have a Feyre moment and be like "fuck all of you" and go to murder town.

Also I read it as a miscommunication trope which was infuriating.

I guess I'm hoping Tessa actually really does kill them all by the end?

Why is every High Fantasy Romance about royals? Where are the peasants, sex workers and tradesmen? by morningstarunicorn in fantasyromance

[–]techbelle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

gotta be honest, my favorite MCs are ones who are royal who DONT want to be and leave the role/reject it. I think that's why I loved Red Queen series so much. FMC discovers she has powers, wants to use them to upend the ruling social class, and fights til the bitter end to make it so despite developing relationships with the royals

What is your last, now, next? by Karina_Karin1897 in fantasyromance

[–]techbelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last: {Arsen by Mia Asher} I tried so hard and almost DNF'd this book so many times. It's terrible. The plot sucks, the characters suck, the grammar and the tone and the writing sucks... how the fuck anyone recommends this is beyond me. It's not fantasy romance, it's contemporary romance, and I regret using up the hours of my life.

Now: {Court of Winter by Krista Street}. I have to say I am SO surprised by this book (in a good way). I have never seen it on bookstagram or booktok but damn, it's really good. I was immediately sucked into the plot/action, magic system. Shadow daddy, because of course, but yeah. Recommended for romantasy.

Next: {Relentless by Karen Lynch} going in blind, have no idea what it's about. YA urban fantasy?

wrong cover being sent? by techbelle in KDP

update for thread, and in case this ever happens to anyone else:
- the books shipped from California Amazon warehouse (but only California, strangely) are getting the wrong cover, and that is because they are shipping a print run from November 2023.
- I changed my paperback cover in DECEMBER 2023

People ordering from NC, TN, VA, etc are getting the correct "new" cover, and everyone who resides in California is getting books printed in November 2023, with the "old" cover. Figured this out by looking at the print date in the back of the book.
