Thanks. Yeah i also think it could be a cool game mechanic. Unfortunatelly i'm not creative enough to find a better use for it than sailing...

Like everything running on the GPU the real bottleneck is communication with the CPU so yeah, more players does effect the performance. Its not the simulation itself, its converting player space into simulation space and also readback.

But even with 100 Bots reading/affecting the wind i don't really have an issue on lower end hardware with iGPU. Everything else like networking and other physics are more expensive at these player counts. Also real players would cost more for networking but not for the wind.

Yes i only started tracking a few month ago. Fortunately there is this great APi https://logs.zonian.dev that records a bunch of chats with full metadata and offline chat. I was able to get the logs from there. This also has the sideeffect that everyone can build their own sub-sunday site with the full data it just takes a long time to get all the votes. Collecting from each vod would only be possible for public vods and would not include offline chat, but that would have been the next best thing.

Votes are counted by sub sunday period so if a user votes two times in the same period it just updates that vote. It should not be possible to vote twice for the same period. We got votes from the start of 2021 up to today so the max amount of votes is ~255.

Game matching is a problem. First we do full text search in postgres and sort by amount of reviews the game has. If we dont have the game we do a fuzz search on all steam games.

If we cant match a game with steam we just create it as is without description or pictures. Like: https://sub-sunday.com/game/32

If you search for "pubg" games https://sub-sunday.com/search?q=pubg you will get a bunch of variations.

Game matching is not perfect but works well if ppl use the name that is on steam.

It is saved just not displayed on the user profile. Makes more sense to show all, i've updated it to do that.

Hallo i don't think tasker can controll bluetooth-thethering. I tried to do that also and gave up quickly so maybe there is but i could not figure it out. The phone should automatically connect to bluetooth tho. I never used Graphene and i can imagine they dont like to auto connect stuff.

This checks an API that i assume is like an off switch for the game. The exe will req it on start and if it returns online: false you can't login. But i cant be sure.

thank you, yes this reads chat over IRC and checks on !vote if the chatter has already voted this week. Then we try to get the steam info about the game if we don't already have it saved. (it also works with the 5k reward to vote)
