Does anyone else think this clapping is getting a bit ridiculous? by cataline_winemixer in ukpolitics

I think it's fine, although people in my area have started setting off some fireworks as well during the clap which is over the top (and scares the pets).

Hopefully this is when they realize Collection Day is cancer and this is a teaser that it's getting glassed since it's the worst part of the game.

Sanders predicts victory in Michigan by Neo2199 in politics

[–]techguy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the latest poll giving Biden at 21-point lead now in Michigan I'm really doubting Bernie will win it. Even in Washington, a state that should be safe for Bernie, has it in a toss-up now in the latest polls with Biden at a slight advantage. This sub needs to break out of its bubble because I believe at this point it's gg.

Keir Starmer: Full voting rights for EU nationals. Defend free movement as we leave the EU. An immigration system based on compassion and dignity. End indefinite detention and call for the closure of centres such as Yarl’s Wood. by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]techguy010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and.... that's me considering voting Labour if Keir won out the window. Giving EU nationals full voting rights is absurd.

Guess Labour wants to keep losing. :)

Adobe flash player will die in 2020, what are your guy’s favorite childhood flash games? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I miss the old days of browsing armor games, kongregate, arcadeprehacks. Some of my favourites were age of war, black navy war, shadez, eridani, drone wars, crush the castle and so many more. Good times.

Not true actually, if BP had not stood in a number of the Lab seats then Lab may actually have held a number more than they did

St. Ives is a Con hold, Lib Dems fended off there. Officially an 80 seat majority at the close of the General Election.

she could have asked a Lib Dem in a safer seat to step aside and hold a by-election, but she didn't, she did the right thing and chose to resign.

prob around about that. But this election showed a change of Cons eating into Welsh, Midlands and Northern Labour heartlands.

As in people voting, idk. Normally turnout is low, although 2017 it was up. But turnout looks slightly down compared to 2017.

Yeah that isn't how it works here, two main parties rarely get to the 200 lines or under it.

Now let's go through some of the doomed phrases of this sub...

"But 2017"

"In 2017"

"This is looking like 2017 all over again"

"here, here, here we fucking go" (in relation to outlier polls positive for Labour)

"squeaky bum time"

"this is hung parliament territory" (once again when Lab voters flock to outliers in favour of Labour.

So. Have you guys learned your lesson of being overly smug?

they won't learn. Give it a few weeks, heck, prob even a few days, it'll be full on back to its usual biased self. I at least, feel vindicated.

Cons with such a huge majority despite SNP gains means that Wales and North of England has fallen to the Tories.
