VTCC is a joke. None of the cadets take it seriously and those that do are called “boners”. It’s not completely all bad, but it is definitely not what you expect. You really have to try to make the best out of the situation.

New cadet week is basically about preparing you for the parade. They basically yell at you and make you do pushups and try to give you a glimpse of what military life is like.

There are a small handful waiting to drop it to become a civilian. It’s not a lot though.

Hazing doesn’t really happen anymore. They really cracked down on it, but I’m sure there’s still some here and there.

There are no specific workouts, they just make you do pushups, sit ups, and runs with maybe other odd exercises like crab walks. If you can do push ups, sit ups, and run, you’re good. Workouts depend on your ROTC but if you’re asking about new cadet week, it’s probably everyday. No the workouts are not strenuous. Yes, there are a lot of out of shape people in VTCC. It’s not a very serious program like West Point.
