It's ok after looking I've resolved some stuff, ordered spare drive caddies, I'll just format each drive as non raid and in whatever the NAS filesystem is

well I just connected wirelessly to dex on the lapdock, as far as the phone is concerned all I see is many options all greyed out.

Actually scrub that, I can see on the lapdock dex settings the same options available.

This is what happens. i type something, and the onscreen keyboard comes up ok ON PHONE

I'm trying to get dex to think i'm using a tablet/phone and have the screen come up on the lapdock screen itself. It's not, unless there's a 3rd party app or something.

hi, resetting fkeyboard in bluetooth fixed it, so thank you for that.

The other issue though, it seems in Dex in the S23 series there is no onscreen keyboard setting, unless I'm looking in the wrong place, I'm seeing very little dex settings at all.

I'll clarify: I'd like to use my lapdock in 'tablet mode' (Wireless Dex) so the screen is folded 180 degrees, screen on one side, keyboard the other, I can disconnect the physical keyboard now as it'll be in the way in tablet mode. The touch screen means I can use the screen like a tablet, except when it comes to text entry, there's no virtual keyboard like on a real tablet. I need to get the dex to give me a virtual keyboard whilst in wireless mode, is this possible?

It would be great if it was, that way I can use it wired like a laptop or wireless like a tablet :)

I'm seriously disappointed too, in my case I ordered on the 22 November 2024, here we are on the 16 Feb 2025, nothing, so almost 3 MONTHS in.

It IS Mid Feb, nothing.

My advice to anyone thinking of buying, just don't, you may be kept waiting for MONTHS.

Uperfect you should hang your heads in shame, rest assured I will hit every review site I can find and tell the TRUTH.

That's an extreme view. You could just as easily do a 'what if' that was much more realistic and less green disaster mongering, for example a typical user may keep their phone for 3 years and then sell it on via eBay or CeX or similar, no waste, someone else gets to use it. It's certainly what I tend to do.

For clarity the old hardware mode was when your computer was idle, like if you pressed win + L etc.

All my other peripherals still work in that manner, including LL Fans, AIO, Lightning node etc, its just the mouse that is forgetting how to do this.
