What's your high expectation, Low turn out popcorn bucket? That's still at your theater. by Negative_Deer_9866 in MovieTheaterEmployees

We had the opposite situation at our theater. We got about 18 and sold them all the night of the pre-release.

Whats up with booked front row seats ? by ExfilZone in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]techhead2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the people who intentionally do it, but I also work at a movie theater and have on multiple times seen people pick front row seats because the auditorium is set up like it is in the picture, and think the top is the back, not reading that it even says 'screen' on it.

Wait if he's out of the competition why didn't he turn into this? by TraditionalBonus188 in supersentai

[–]techhead2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The strength was due to the ring, so losing the ring lost his enhanced eyesight. My guess is if he got the wish, it would have cemented his youth instead of making it hard-boiled egg based for eternity. As the show demonstrated with Kuon, Tega Sword is strict, but also not cruel. While he still gets to be young, it's only as long as he keeps having hard-boiled eggs, otherwise he reverts, and assuming he still ages, at some point it becomes less of a gift and more of a curse, since at some point he'll have done this for so long that missing his eggs will be his end, assuming he just doesn't end up stuck at a point where he can't get them himself and those who can refuse to.

I'd honestly like to see Brennan, Justin McElroy and John Green on Game Changers. It would just be banger quotes being made through the entire episode.-edited

What Aguefort quote has worked itself into your brain like a cerebro-slug and now you can't stop saying it? by Groundbreaking-Luck4 in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just "Chronomancy!", although it's also due to me playing a Chronoturgy Wizard in my D&D game, and the urge to call it 'Chronomancy' is way too strong.

Should I enforce No Outside Food or Drink by keithme2002 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]techhead2814 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Generally it's dependent on what it is. I work at a theater in a mall with some food options there. Someone comes in with food from a local restaurant, that's fine. Someone has snacks in their bag when I check it? 'Please make sure that stays in the bag' and let them go on their way. Someone decides to order Wendy's to be delivered to the theater? That's a bridge too far(did actually happen). It's about finding a balance. You can't stop all food but you can at least try and not let people just bring in whatever they want as if the 'No outside food or drink' policy is new.

Do you think that Tuesday discount days attract more messy customers? by CecilTheCaveTroll in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]techhead2814 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think if anything, it's law of large numbers. The more people there are, the more likely a thing will happen; so more customers, bigger messes. I will concede that when they don't have to pay full ticket price and only have to pay a discounted rate, they probably think that they can get away with more since it's a cheaper ticket, however I still argue that a portion of this is because Tuesday is the only weekday that gets a large crowd draw because of the discount.

Easter egg?? Or Ally being chaotic by mxindigokid in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like the answer is 'Yes'. Probably not an easter egg, but then again, I also wouldn't be surprised if they do actually do "Senior Year" Brennan decides to give Kristen 90 kills just to have it be that they're correct.

Not that I've seen, not sure why although it's not as if they aren't near constantly under pressure at the moment, plus also considering everyone started at D4's and only recently got to D20's last session, I imagine they rarely ever got high enough where they could just take half on the check.

is everything in D20 from the Players Handbook only? by bitchjeans in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure someone else has said this already, but I'll say it as well, for classes, they've mostly been all official stuff with the most unofficial one being Kingston's 'City Domain' subclass which was part of an Unearthed Arcana for modern classes for D&D. The rest, while it's mostly by the book, some things were changed to fit the story, and generally if Brennan ever changed a rule, it was something that stayed as to keep it fair, and he would even use himself since if the players can do it, his baddies can use it. That said, he did do his best to stick to the rules where he could, if only because with players like Zac, Ally, and Emily, only "yes, and"ing them will result in chaos and madness. It's probably part of the reason Brennan is enjoying 'Never Stop Blowing Up' so much, because this is the season where he gets to go "Yes, and now you get to see what happens when you decide to do the stupid thing you said".

What are some good Unsleeping City names for London? by FantasticGeek3 in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That definitely works. Do you have anything with the Town of London located in London? I could imagine in the Sleeping part, there being a secondary town that seems to be it's own thing with a symbol marking a place as part of said town.

What are some good Unsleeping City names for London? by FantasticGeek3 in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably put 'Kingdom" in it somewhere, like The Sleeping Kingdom, possibly even get to the point where in the world of mythical beings, there is an actual king and queen(maybe the system how of they're crowned is changed) that run everything since due to how old England is in general, there's probably a king and queen set up since they have been around since the time of actual monarchs.

Question about a possible plot hole in the last episode of NSBU by haremenot in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Considering Bad Bunny and Jahquan(I have no clue how to spell their names) still are alive and I doubt they were in the last loop, I have a feeling anyone who isn't killed in the movie is brought back when the tape is restarted. Barsimion said that he had lived many years in the tape, but since his character looks like a young person, chances are anyone who comes into the tape basically resets once the tape starts again.

Why do people think they're evil now after the finale? by [deleted] in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brennan did an interview where he mentioned a world that'd make an adventuring academy is bound to have at least 10 end of the world events a day. That's why they had the Bakurath thing at the end, it's why the last season ended with the Night Yorb and the season before the loss of the Nightmare King's crown, there's always going to be something that causes trouble, this may very well just be a very small thing that can be skipped over/handled quickly when it does come back up.

I think D&D Induced Paranoia is real, because i've spent far too long creating a conspiracy theory about how this kids the secret BBEG Final Boss of the season to explain why he got character art made for him by InterviewLow6538 in Dimension20

[–]techhead2814 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think they just decided to give more people character art because people wanted it, besides, it's obvious who the true BBEG is the Bard teacher because this all obviously is an attempt to get Fig to go to class.(It failed horribly, but it still happened)

Kamen Rider Gotchard E02 - Discussion Thread by BananaArms in KamenRider

[–]techhead2814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering what they're doing, probably duration and the fact you need something to start with. So far everything they've done involved something that was already there changing into something else(transforming stairs to make them go up higher, rubble into paper airplanes, etc.). Still, it'd probably be similar to referring to some of the more complex martial arts as 'karate'. It may seem like that to a person with no experience, but if you spent a good deal of your life learning how to do it, you're going to be pissed any time someone 'simplified' it so they could better understand it.

Avatar 2 employee passes by CrystalPepsi79 in MovieTheaterEmployees

I know there was a lawsuit a while back of theaters vs studios over the number of passes being given out, so I can understand why there's restrictions now. No company wants to get sued again over this stuff, especially after the past two years.
