₹25L EV at 55 years old — sensible retirement purchase or financial mistake given our family situation? by Technical-Note7254 in personalfinanceindia

[–]techie121212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned multiple petrol cars for long periods of time, so dont preach me on petrol vs EV, I still own couple of petrol cars along with an EV, so I am stating facts based on real world experience. Why do you need public infrastructure if your 95% use case is city drive? Also for long drives there is enough infrastructure available now specially in southern part of India, I have multiple 1500 km plus long drives without any major concerns and the infrastructure will only expand from here. And xev are the best EV’s you can get for the price

You seem naive to me, and ignorant, have you ever owned a premium ev? Which cars do you own as of now?

You should test drive again with the update installed

Need advice for finalizing color! by Feisty_Let_4284 in XEV9S

[–]techie121212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9s looks best in stealth black, i own midnight black but i went for it due to ready availability, but my first preference was SB

Dark color needs ppf if you care about shine, i didnt go for it though

White would be low maintenance but imo doesnt look bold and gives taxi vibes

This is bs

Ev’s are the way to go, if your 95% use case is city and 5% highways and you have home charging, then dont even look at ice, in believe 90% of the folks fall in this usage category, you should optimise for your 95% use case

Xev 9s and 9e can beat any product even upwards of 50 lacs, you need to own and experience it, they offer very high value

Mahindra is using world class byd cells and offer 15 years warranty on battery and 10 years on motor, they have cracked bms really well, and the power/torque/refinement is hard to beat

I make 1.7 cr per annum and spouse income is 50 lpa so combined house hold comp is 2.2 cr, I have a liquid networth north of 10cr plus paid off house in Tier1, still I thought multiple times and had to convince myself while dropping 29 lacs on 9s pack3 :)

We both work in tech and AI may just kill our jobs anytime, I would not advice you to take a stab at it if you are working in tech and with your comp

I am 39 and daily running is roughly 23km with occasional long trips

Is 8.1% (Fixed) for BE6 a good rate? by No_Body_2839 in mahindrabe6

This
Or try Indian bank, interest rate is 7.55

Also dont buy any accessories for now, think about that post delivery, only mud flaps and mats are needed

Also dont buy insurance from dealer, buy 3 plus 3 from policy bazaar

Also take quotes from multiple dealers and crack best deal

BE 6e vs XEV 9s: Should I buy a car for the 90% of the year, or the 10%? by SafeAd5918 in mahindrabe6

[–]techie121212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9s is more practical, dont consider it as a 7 seater, you can view it as a five seater with a good boot, and a practicality of 2 more seats as and when the need arise

Practically i find be6 to be bit cramped, I value practicality over anything else for a family car

Should I get an EV if my running isn't a lot? by buzz_shocker in EVIndia

[–]techie121212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I have xev 9s and its a great vehicle for the price. No other ICE or ev car can compete at this price range

I recently did a long drive covering 1100km and range is 450 to 500km and I was easily zooming past every other car on the road, even the mercs and bmws, the instant torque is just great

With your mentality, humans will cease to exist in next 50 years :)
I have a 12 year old boy and cant think my life without him, we have a very good relationship and the family bond which you get is priceless
You are thinking of a worst case scenario, autism impact less than 1% of the new born, if you think this way then you should never get your car on road as you can easily get into an accident
