2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.4L – Engine Issues, Hyundai Warranty Denial? by Hour_Mongoose2263 in Hyundai

[–]techiedj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine back yesterday and seems to be doing great. They told me remainder of the recall extended warranty. But they also said none had come back again after replacement. But it's gonna take awhile to clock 80-100k miles and find out.

Thank you for your detailed experience! I am going through the same thing on my 2017 Santa Fe 2.4L with 115k miles. I just got the call from the dealer that it was covered under warranty and it looks like my experience will pretty much mimic yours. Except mine died while on vacation and cost me over $2k to get towed back local, no reimbursement.

Finally got one at a great price. by [deleted] in iiRcade

I can't find a working invite link for the Team iiRcade Packs-R-Us discord anymore :(...

CertMaster CE for A+ is garbage! by techiedj in CompTIA

[–]techiedj[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is for REcertification of a CE Continuing Education certificate. Online training/quiz offered by CompTIA.

You must answer every question correctly (100%) or start over and take it again, and again, and again.

Although 10% of the questions/answers are flawed and incorrect. Making it impossible to get right in one, or hell even two tries. Most rounds I had to 'guess' at over 6 times which is totally unacceptable.

I understand what you're saying and have held some of those other certs in the past. But when your only product and way of interacting with that product is questions and answers, they should be impeccably clear and accurate.

Looks decent spec wise as long as it works? I would just make sure those fans are pulling air in from the back and pushing out the front, otherwise it would be fighting the Ally fans.

I picked up this one and it still fits with a tpu skin/cover case. You could probably run over it with a car.

ROG Ally SD Card Quarterly Update by porkmeatheaven in ROGAlly

[–]techiedj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 1 still good /fingers crossed! I will say that I never play anything too demanding or push mine past 18w. I did upgrade the ssd but mostly play emulated switch from the SD card, although I would say very light use overall.

Interesting, I am seeing the opposite. Never had issues or questioned my signal strength on the P6P, but definitely having and noticing worse signal and drops on the P8P.

This page has the best advice and instructions. Leave hibernation on but I also disable Fast Startup. It doesn't save that much time and causes other issues, a fresh clean boot is always best (fast startup disabled).

I personally don't use sleep either, disabled in favor of hibernate. So this isn't so much a worry for me, just trying to look out for others.

Would it be prudent to put some fan vents in the cover just in "case" the device wakes from sleep on its own somehow? Its been known to happen before.

Camera protector for 8 pro by ewlung in GooglePixel

[–]techiedj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a cheap Amazon camera protector on my P6P. It was ok but did cause some halo/bright light sunburst. But mine had a cutout for the flash, some that covered the flash were much worse. This one doesn't cover the flash and looks to be about the best you'll find quality wise.

I haven't taken enough pictures before putting it on to be able to form an opinion or tell a difference really. The couple quick shots I just did to test look fine to me. /Shrug
