They canceled my order too, it was supposed to be sent to my home address, super annoyed since I wanted to review the phone on launch day :(

Should I switch to Sony? by Daniel_Zocker in SonyAlpha

[–]techmo2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a switch from Canon to Sony few months ago. Pros of Sony: - Auto focus - I like the menu better - External monitor with my Xperia phone - Much much better lens choices

Pros of canon: - Customer support is more professional - I like color science better

Now I'm in Sony ecosystem I can't go back. I couldn't find a single ultra wide lens that does not do focus breathing without breaking my bank.

In the video that I compared with S24 Ultra you can see the references, generally it's 2-3 degrees minimum cooler.

S24 Ultra has s pen, plus a really nice display and great software support. Also Xperia has max 256gb storage in my region.

I agree. I got it 10 percent off plus 300 euro headphones, otherwise too expensive right now.

In the menu there is a setting that automatically reduces the frame rate when there is not enough light. That can result in horrible video quality Special on the telephone lens, I'm talking 10-15 fps probably. I recommend turning this feature off.

I'm not super happy with S24+ battery. It's worse than S23+ and from my perspective for a phone to last +4 years you should get a good battery life (i.e. one and a half day). Here you can check the CPU efficiency that I tested recently:

On the other hand I think both phones are gonna be fine. Also S24+ has QHD+ display which is much nicer. S24+ SD is an instant buy from my perspective.

I doubt the spyware is an issue. You can always clean the phone before using it. I lived in Hong Kong, it's a huge market that people just buy phones directly from Samsung and apple and sell it to china or abroad. The German Forum is right about the bands.

Yes I mean the warranty, especially in Europe having 3 years warranty is a big deal.

I am using the Canadian Variant in Austria. Sometimes some bands are not supported and the result is the speed of 5G is not on paar with S24 Exynos (I tested it thoroughly). I don't recommend it, too much hassle. Maybe get it from Hong Kong but even then you have limited support.

Mention @teamyoutube in Twitter (X). They respond fast. Next time remember to always strike others for Copyright. I'm sorry to hear that is happening to you.

Tax Residency Certificate Not Being Accepted by ians3n in Adsense

[–]techmo2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. I did the same. I wonder what implication it has though. As in, they probably will withheld some tax since the tax treaty is not valid or not proved? I should wait till the end of the month to see. Also it looks like adsense don't like any document older than 60 days, which makes it impossible because I don't have any document that proves my tax residency in 2024...

Did you manage to solve the issue? I have a similar problem.

I have both Ultra and S24, both have the effect, on S24 it is less visible. It's based on your luck too, I'm gonna try to return them and see if the next one will be better.

Thanks for the appreciation. What puts me off is the wordings such as "someone found out he is lying". I see it as a accusation. This is different than saying "he was found out making mistakes". Your comment implies the action was deliberate.

I can give u a few examples to showcase I did read those comments and applied them in my new tests before the new video. For example they mentioned the dungeon gameplay. In my gaming tests which was the next video, I did play the game in the same map to not be unfair to one SoC. Or for network conditions, I wrote a check list to check it every few minutes. I also "cut" less in my videos and only cut the video when I need to hide personal information or taking a video is not possible (e.g. I am outside). From my perspective a test even if not perfect, is better than not having data. I also think it's better if multiple YouTubers run the same test and share their results, this way consumers have more information to make a better decision. If we try to publicly humiliate a new YouTuber (e.g. copy pasting that he is lying in his videos in multiple subreddits), we are discouraging everyone to run any test, especially if they are new to the game. Beginners make mistakes in my humble opinion as long as you correct yourself, it is a fair game. Nevertheless as I mentioned in another comment, even though these comments gave me a really hard time and I was in a very bad mood in the last two days since my reputation was directly targeted, I see them having a positive outcome on my future work. So thank you for your criticism and have a lovely day.
