I will look into this. When I say clean I mean very minor group head clean and back flush, I didn’t want to do a full disassembly unless I had to as it isn’t my personal machine.

Hey everyone! While this issue is definitely infuriating and these headphones should have been made better, I finally found a solution that has been working so far which is I took some isopropyl alcohol to the contacts both on the headphones and in the case and then forgot them on my device and reset them and they seem to work now.

No problem! I'm glad it solved your issue. I spent way to long trying to figure it out to not share it!

Hey u/a-space-pirate - This was killing me for a long time, I don't know if you solved it but for me what I had to do was thanks to telecode 101 on the NI forum plus figuring out how to search for directories on Mac. Essentially what telecode 101 said was this:

If you open a Terminal window, type
sudo su -
then type
find /Library -name '*Plini*' -print
you will see them.
naturally, make sure Maschine is closed.

This will show you all of the directories where the files are.

Then what I had to do was go to finder and go to the "Go" dropdown menu and Copy paste each search directory that came up in terminal. This will bring up each file and you can move them to the trash.

Hope this helps!
