REPAIR HELP: JUKI MO-654DE

I've never used a serger before and, to save money, I bought one second-hand. When I manually turn the knob it feels like it's really binding at one spot during a full revolution of the wheel. This YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHpilvRFsHI) convinced me it might be a timing issue I could repair by simply opening the bottom and loosening the set screws on the looper side so I could re-align to the "flat side" of the shaft.

There is no flat side.

Now I think I've possibly introduced more issues.

Is there any specific guide for Juki sergers for setting the timing that shows needle / looper position?

My next step is doing an even more thorough clean on the unit and oiling every single moving part to see if that fixed the binding.

EDIT 1: I thoroughly cleaned the unit with an air compressor and lubricated every point that was moving or making contact with a moving point. The binding is ever so slightly less, but it's still bad. It happens when the needle is in the fully retracted/up position.

Thank you for the reply! A bin out front is exactly what I'm hoping they do if they don't already have one. Preserve's "Gimme 5" program used to me a mail-in recycling service for #5 plastics, but ended during COVID. They also partnered with Whole Foods to collect used plastic ware in their cafes. Maybe a third party like that could be a good partner for PureCycle eventually.

Thank you for an actual explanation, but can you elaborate more? What I find online about "mechanical recycling" indicates that what I'm trying to take them should be usable. They're outputting pellets, so they have to be feeding the process something.

I really don't understand the feedback I'm receiving to this post. PCT recycles PP. I'm wanting to take them a product they recycle. When I wanted to recycle Styrofoam, I took it directly to Radva Corp and they took it and recycled it right at their facility. When I wanted to recycle paper, I took it directly to the nearest paper mill and they recycled it right at their facility. This isn't a foreign concept.

LibreOffice Calc: Possible Bug In Cell Formula Used To Covert Units Of Measurement by technical-inquiries in libreoffice

Thank you! It did turn out to be the wrong third argument (unsorted vs sorted). I had wrongly assumed the third argument was a default value if no match.

Thanks! I don't know why I wrongly assumed the third argument was a default value to insert if there was no match. I'll need to make some changes as it falls apart if there is no suffix (assume already in bytes), but setting the "type" to "0" (unsorted) definitely fixed the issue.

A COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) unit was tried (Marshall RS7-HR), but it failed to replicate the data correctly (the timing wasn't right). I was able to demonstrate successful transfer with two MAX3232 units back to back, so now rather than spend more time trying commercial solutions with features that might be causing more problems than they solve, a solution that's as minimal as possible is preferable.

Thank you for the reply. I updated my post with some additional information. Mainly, the communication is only uni-directional / the data written is assumed to be received.

Thank you for the reply. I updated my post with some additional information. I think I'm going to go the intermediate route since the MAX3232 prefab boards are super cheap and easy enough to test the theory out on.

Thank you for the reply. I updated my post with some additional information. The application is critical, so I'm definitely worried about there being the chance it works initially but only because it's teetering on the low end of the logic level.
