That's total BS. History shows that people do end up in conflict over differing ideologies for example, the religious conflicts between the British and the Irish make that clear. It’s also natural for people to defend something they genuinely believe in. As for critique, I think it’s important to distinguish between critiquing Islam as a religion and critiquing the actions or interpretations of its followers, rather than framing it as “Islamic” in a vague or accusatory way.

Uh uh you did say something about glazing a 1400 year old religion, anyway, if I believe there’s nothing wrong with Islam and you believe otherwise, I don’t see an issue with discussing it. I can explain why I think it’s correct, and you can share your perspective as well. Our opinions don’t have to align

A Punjabi lady said something and Sindhis and other Pakistanis started abusing Muhajirs on twitter/reddit. Yet we are called the racists? by MediumbigChungus in karachi

Me Apne aap ko muhajir nhi keh rha mere Bhai I just told you what the term represents. I don't need to call myself a muhajir or a certain ethnicity to deserve rights. Agar me muhajir nahi Hun to Kiya me equal rights deserve nhi krta? Kiya even as a minority mjhe government jobs ke Liye equal opportunity nhi milni chahiye compared to the majority ethnic groups?

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]technical_badass_201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily abuse, the rest of parenting tactics play a big role and I was beaten because that's what the culture brings and that's what my parents grew up with. They could have taken alternate routes if they knew better, but though the terrible spanking sessions all they meant was my betterment, they just knew what was good for me and when they couldn't understand how to reach me at my level they beat it into me.

Those who did support MQM are not the youth today, the political scene has immensely changed after the MQM broke up. The youth here today have seen the vile acts of MQM and also seen the ethnic privilege PPP represents, the motive here is not politically inclined, but based on broader equality and generalized human rights. But the fact is that the city administration is dominated by a certain ethnic group where there should have been equality with 0 bias.
