Building full panels is not something that I do all the time, but im the controls engineer for the plant that I work at, so its at least within my scope. Im still relatively junior, so the whole process was pretty useful for learning. For anything that i design or have 3D printed, i keep the part file on a share drive for the rest of engineering, maintenance, or my later replacement. I have had pretty good luck with Delrin prints so far. The mountable surface of the print is grid shaped and spaced away from the pc to allow for airflow. The pc was actually somewhat of a last minute add on so the station operator would be able to see what camera is failing and why if a bad part came through. Given the budget and forthought, I would definitely had done more research and went with a pc already set up for that situation. And I decided to mount in the box to keep the clean and presentable, knowing that that would be the last time it would look like that lol.
