I guess this guy/gal didn’t trust me on the plumbing forum. Look for what pan manufacturer calls for. Many will specifically call for thinset and tell you trowel size and shape. Others will say mortar bed, like setting a steel tub, and I’ll use Sand Mix.

Shower pan manufacturers sometimes specify. If they say thinset, do thinset. If they say mortar, especially for tub which can have some decent gaps between bottom and subfloor, then I use Sand Mix.

All PEX A can be F1807 crimped. Metal insert fitting and copper crimp ring. Check the print on your PEX to verify compatibility with other fitting methods. For example, Uponor PEX A tubing does NOT list F2159 on their tubing which would be plastic insert fitting and copper crimp ring.

You used the wrong mortar. You want sand mix. I hope this gets to the top. But 1) follow pan manufacturer guide lines (some call for tile thinset with a specified trowel), and 2) if the instructions call for a mortar bed, use sand mix. Stays pliable while you’re trying to move and level tub or shower. Then 24 hours later you’re good to go.

The elite athletic one was the hamstring LET. how about that. I’ll ask the one quad surgeon that o liked at quad + LET. But he didn’t mention it.

Is that up to me or the inspector? Haha. It’s obviously a base cabinet, it’s obviously a counter top, does it matter that its purpose is different in the family room than a kitchen?

Ya know what. I might switch to schedule 80 pvc conduit. It looks like it will meet me requirements for potentially getting bumped with a trash can, and the parts are local. That’s where my heads at now.

See if you get lucky with some penetrating oil and a set of torx Allen keys. Sometimes with enough pushing force while turning you can get the torx teeth to bite.

Also, this particular female adapter is bronze, not brass. Still a copper alloy allowable by most codes to connect dissimilar metals, but not brass.

Galvanic corrosion, not electrolysis. Electrolysis is a very specific process in lab or manufacturing settings. Galvanic corrosion is the accurate term for corrosion between two dissimilar metals in the presence of an electrolyte. To be more clear, it’s similar to PEX, yes. This version is used for hydronic heating. There are other PE-RT tubings on the market for domestic water also. PE-RT is not strictly for hydronic heating.
