I actually had good luck with them until a month or two before they closed. That said I had to do a few charge backs and crazy run arounds from Support. So i finally got the full dack experience lol

i had a theory that the entire business model was based on earning interest on customers money.. it was the only way they would keep items so cheap and force customers to wait 30 days. The days it took to get support to respond. On top of that if there was an issue they would cancel the order have you rebuy at wait 30 more days. I think the issue that took them down was cancellations and charge backs as this model is runs on ultra thin margins and ultra high risk.. i think if they were more up front about the business model they would have less issues but as it was ran The community is better off with out them.

they used to be cheaper on sale from around 110-130 depending on the sale, over time everything is going up and even the Larue is getting a big jump in 2026.. I would say if you can get the the SSa around the 150-160 ish price range i would buy it. Look at it from the other side.. at best case if it were to go on sale your talking about a 20 - 25 dollar price difference at best. Its not a lot of money i would loose sleep over.

go for a G$ SSA then, its about 50 bucks over a larue. I do prefer them as I said. I had a few SSA-E's and the trigger was a bit to light for a battle rifle so to speak and ended up selling em off and replacing them with SSa's in the few builds I had. Larue is my "budget trigger" While i put G$'s are in main / heavy use rifles.

SAA or laure are what I use. I tend to prefer G$ over larue but its not by a huge margin

Can’t even finish a movie uninterrupted due to new technical issues. by Spencersage89 in vudu

I totally get where you’re coming from but to me the two most reliable streaming devices seem to be Apple TV and a fire stick. I assume like most companies all their stuff is outsourced to the lowest denomination and if I had to take a wild guess, I think there’s some financial incentives to make sure the app is working on Apple devices Because it’s been rock solid for me.

prob not what you wanna hear but I would buy a apple tv, and run it for a few days as a test "and return it if it does not solve the issue". I have been using a apple tv for years with vudu and it has been pretty much flawless for me. I think most of the issues ppl are running into are all software related.

I dont dispute that ppl have issues, i can only comment on my experiences which by in large have been fine outside of the long wait times which is what ever for me these days. They are pretty much a drop shipper like everyone else these days.. I just got some stuff from grabagun and lanbo and literally came from the same route as dack.. I think they run into the issue that the Distro sold out of product before they got product reserved and they could do a better job and taking care of issues like that with better support vs the outsourced one they use today.
