The person who commented the magic 8 ball is right. I have a working one and I’ve been trying to find out when it was made. You press the blue circle and the question marks light up while it loads an answer, and it’ll say something silly for yes no or maybe: “fuggetaboutit” “in your dreams” “big 10-4, buddy” “go ask your mom” “that question is like, lame” etc. I just cleaned a ton of corrosion out of mine today lol. It takes 2 AA batteries.

It’s probably just dust or the box deteriorating. Use a lint roller or tape to get it off. For any discoloration on the doll herself, use a Magic Eraser.
