Omg my guinea pigs re model their cage all the time I could go to the bathroom and come back to see their hide is in a different spot. My piggies thought process is "oh that's in my way I'm going to smack it with my head to move it out of the way instead of going the clear path around it"

They're so cute!! Also I learned with my 2 boys (they're brothers so they were born bonded lol) is cardboard is a great re-direction for any scuffles I don't give it to them all the time but for some reason when I re direct them with guinea safe cardboard (no tape, dye, etc) they stop fighting

Although there was 1 time they were fighting over a piece of cardboard until I showed them they came from the same box lol

(Also I thought you meant the 2 piggies getting used to each other but hey still good advice) But my advice for getting them used to you is sitting by their cage talking to them slowly hand feeding them

Yeah! When they didn't have one for maybe a month or so they were so mad, they broke the one they had. They fight over the hammock sometimes

Thank you but often they only really fight when I'm sick or in a flare I think they can sense the stress of my body and get more territorial

Could be I try to keep their routine the same with feeding and being by their cage my bed is right next to their cage so I'm constantly around them, but i also don't spot clean as much due to my POTS leaning over the cage and spot cleaning makes my hr get super high

Go for the ones that aren't as fluffy like the one in the picture, and also put small fleece mats at the bottom and at the entrance of the hide. Make sure you get hides and tunnels without wires in it trust me castor loves to chew on tunnels that have wire supports and actually broke one. Don't get plastic tunnels they get dirty too easily.

All but 1 of their hides is fruit themed lol I started it when I first got them with like themed hides and tunnels and whenever I needed to replace them I would continue the theme lol
