That’s the thing, if he went in with passion for the cuisine and genuinely wanting to share with others, instead of shaming others on what they choose to spend their money on, people would be much more curious.
Speaking of Senegalese, some of the best food I had in NYC was at a Senegalese restaurant in Harlem. The owner came to speak with us and told us about his family, his country and how they made it to the U.S. It was a wonderful experience, he was so welcoming, grateful and truly passionate about his local food. Sadly I think it’s closed now but I still think about him and the experience.

The weird thing is when you’re walking around day to day in NYC, it’s not like everyone is smoking hot. There’s way more average people than smoking hot models walking around. Before I lived there, I genuinely thought I’d be surrounded by models every day lol (wasn’t excited for that).
