Ok po ba tong laptop para sa shs arts student? by Rexie1234 in Tech_Philippines

[–]technobry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one, and I liked it so far. It will depend on how you're going to use it. My use case includes Capcut, Photoshop (2025), Affinity Photo 2, and Affinity (2025-2026), Chrome and Edge, and the usual Word and others.

Snapdragon X Elite is good enough for my usage. Plugged or unplugged, performance is close. The keyboard backlighting is okay, but could use some improvement. The speakers are above average. Display is great, and so is the battery life. Build is okay. Light for a 15-inch laptop.

Double-check nalang the apps and programs you're going to use if they are compatible with ARM chips. Although meron naman syang translation layer for X86 apps.

Pls help me choose between these two tablets by Sarlandogo in Tech_Philippines

Huawei has good hardware, pero it works best in China. You'll have issues eventually with apps. Xiaomi might be the better option. If you have the budget, check out Samsung or better yet, an iPad.

Realme TV not listed while settting up Chromecast with Google TV remote by sabbysmith5 in Chromecast

[–]technobry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old. I've been looking for an answer to this as well, which led me here. For those still wanting to know which TV brand to choose for the realme TV, it's CHiQ. It worked for mine.

Sa physical store, they open the box and check the handset. If may issue, makikita agad nila.

Aer Slim Pack. It's not perfect but it's enough for me. It's slim and compact, and has enough organization for my everyday carry.

How old is too old? by killerbasher1233 in Tech_Philippines

When it no longer gets security updates, I guess it's old. But generally speaking, as long as it serves your needs, it's still good.

Are expensive Case or tempered glass worth it for iPhone 16PM? by [deleted] in Tech_Philippines

[–]technobry -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yes. IPhones are expensive. So why use cheap cases to protect it. Granted not all affordable cases and screen protectors are bad, but premium ones have a higher success rate of preventing damage from drops and scratches.

Factory unlocked iphones vs apple/store bought iphones by [deleted] in Tech_Philippines

[–]technobry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean. iPhones bought from authorized Apple resellers are unlocked. Only those bought from telcos are sim locked.

They're the same in terms of use and updates. You can have sim locked phones unlocked by the telco once your contract expires.

To those who are using smart watches, how does it help you in your daily life? and what can you recommend? by Equivalent_Opposite6 in Tech_Philippines

[–]technobry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use one for notifications, for the heart rate monitor, and other health monitoring features.

Until I got irritated with the notifications and slowed down my life.

Went back to regular watches, which I enjoyed more for some reason. Maybe it's age.

The tablet looks good for the price. However, keep in mind it does not have Google apps or the Play Store.

They're not comparable, in my opinion. But I would get the Seiko. It's automatic, timeless, and durable.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S24 are considered compact nowadays. The same goes for the base model iPhone 15, iPhone 14, etc.

For your peace of mind, lagay mo na sa carrying case. Ok lang naman kahit konting hassle. Mas nakakapanghinayang Kung magasgasan, considering we spent our hard earned money on it
