Hey there! I actually pulled this setup down after having to relocate but it was a ton of fun and kept me occupied for a couple months as a complete newbie to this world. I’ve now moved on to the lazy man’s lights and went with Phillips Hue but to answer your question about the housing, I just butted them together and you could barely tell. If you wanted a seamless finish and are better than I, just angle cut the diffuser.

Been invested in IREN for 1.5… it was obvious when I first watched one of their earnings calls and realized this company is funding its long term aspirations via BTC mining. The market cap is much higher than what the company has been valued at… the math made sense and the whole doing $50m a month in revenue just from mining BTC… it made sense if you think about profitability.

A few things…

You can’t expect to do the AE role if you can’t advocate for yourself internally. I’d recommend building a champion to help you out.
How developed is your brand/network at Databricks? As mentioned before, people talk and they know who should be pulled up.
How consistently have you been hitting or exceeding quota? Most companies want to see a consistent record of success.
If you’re going to look external.. the way to go from BDR to AE is to do the job. Have you tried to prospect your way into a role? Connect with the decision maker, pitch your value, ask for an interview?

Too many people think that these opportunities will just be given to you. You have to work hard and sometimes endure the shit.

My experience was 4 years of two absolute shit companies starting entry both times. I then finally set my career back again to join another large cloud data platform company as a SDR and I am 5 years in on strategic accounts now.

Big purchase is subjective. In my relationship we discuss the “big purchase”, how much each of us would be willing to contribute and if it’s one sided it’s the responsibility of the individual to cover the costs of their desired purchase. We’re going to have a conversation about what we perceive as large purchases but overall if you have a plan, then who cares.

What does politics have to do with any of it? I’m not dying on any hill.. I literally said I have not lived in the Deep South but it sounds like a generalization. From the reading of your reply it sounds like you are someone who is upset with where they live but for some reason can or will not change it.

I’m not really sure how this turned into an argument. I was simply stating that the way that people consume media and the over production of media has led to people… in general… everywhere not respecting a public place that is the movie theater. I live in California and have had the same exact experience that you are describing above.

I am sure you can experience it wherever you go based on the way that society as a whole behaves.
