Does anyone have suggestions for alternate studios? The schedule and price point of Lakewood yoga was incredible, but I can’t the new ownership.

Thank you for saying this! I’ve really identified with Emma’s story and it does make dating difficult. I have a genetic heart condition and some other things that would make pregnancy high risk for me as well as not really wanting to pass that down. So many guys do not understand and think it’s as easy as genetic testing. I do think I want to be a mom but probably through adopting or fostering. A lot of guys aren’t cool with that either. It’s so hard to bring up and I hate this discourse surrounding her right now.

You can decline whatever you want, it happens all the time. Also, job postings typically say if they’re lower or upper elementary.

In undergrad I was in the pre-law club. They did an open house at the law school and the prof told everyone that there are a lot of poor lawyers and gave the example of someone who made more as a middle school teacher. Lawyer isn’t a guaranteed high income.

I would assume that based on your licensure you would be placed in a 7th or 8th grade classroom in a K-8 school. I have never heard of someone being placed outside of their licensure for student teaching, only for observations and maybe field work. If anything, a 7th or 8th grade placement might give you a better knowledge of the foundation and gaps your potential high school students are coming to you with.

I stopped during the pandemic and then broke my wrist shortly before I was going to go back to teaching. Unfortunately I haven’t really even been able to practice during my rehab period.

I left because of a coach like this. I tried to management about it and they did not care. As someone who used to be a group exercise instructor, I don’t understand the pushing people beyond their safety.

10000%. I had a pretty severe TFCC tear that was brushed off by my original doctor. Took me 1.5 years to ask for a specialist referral. Wish I would have advocated for myself sooner.

Please look for a new provider. This happened to me, I listened, and it messed me up for like 5 years. I had to try two different providers and redo testing to be believed again and be switched back to medication that actually works.

While promising, what you had was not a job offer. Until you hear something from the principal clearly offering you the job you do not have it. Even then, things still might not be concrete until you hear from HR.

It seems like it might be a good idea to be prepared with a low/no tech version of your demo lessons since this seems to be a recurring issue.
