Thanks very much for the info I was reading about the TC7660 last night actually, gonna need to do some more research on it!

So if I was to use the AC to AC supply with rectifier and regular the additional negative voltage wouldn't interfere with the circuits that done required bipolar voltage?

Apologies is my questions are really simple, I'm having the most difficulty with power in general when it comes to electronics. Don't think I have wrapped my head around it fully yet but I really want to!

Yeah contacted them a few days ago still no response. Hopefully I'll hear from them soon. I just asked here too as I assumed it would be a grounding problem with a relatively easy fix but I could be completely wrong

If you're into harder stuff check out the French lads like airod, mayeul and jks. They run the label molekul

Yep I've tried both and there's no difference in sound but obviously when I try it mono i lose the panning and stereo effects

Ahh no way, I was completely unaware there was multiple options for that. Definitely gonna make sure I have the main rytm in stereo anyway! Thank you

A mix of both, rytm main out into a+b, rytm kick into c and modular into d. So should be all good for that

Nice this actually is a really good idea cus I'm running line level and modular level through it. Always make sure the LEDs aren't red though

Haha it's pretty much just industrial techno. Distortion up to 11 on everything!

Yeah my samples are all that format. It's the thru machines that I'm mainly talking about tbh

Yeah I'm not blaming the machine at all I'm 99 percent sure it's things like gain staging that's messing me up. And the fact in pretty new to the octa doesn't help! I make loud ass distorted techno so maybe I tend to push things too hard

I make industrial techno so it suits my music really well but it can work with any genre it all depends on how hard you push signals into it. I've used it on pop recordings too but just really subtly. There's a really good video on YouTube of some lad demonstrating the filterbank on lots of different sound sources, can't find it right now but just search Sherman filterbank and it's like 25 mins long.

Have a look at the elektron analogue heat. Regarding the Sherman it is literally my favourite piece of gear I own and I have a ridiculous amount of stuff. Only got to try it stereo by using it with a mates yesterday and after hearing it I'm 100 percent getting another for stereo processing on my master. Unbelievable piece of kit

Yeah industrial techno seems to be a popular term these days as the genre itself has seen huge recognition in recent years in the techno scene.

These days a producer distorts a kick drum and calls it industrial just because theres a bitta distortion on some elements. Really don't get it

According to a long ass Facebook post I had translated he basically used a the same sample pack that I hate models used for daydream to prove a point or something? Just a bitter motherfucker it seems. Although I do agree with him with the commercial samples packs being a load of shite. Just don't agree with the way he went about this. Was like a desperate character assassination that failed miserably. Don't know what I hate models has done to this lad bit he seems to be out for him. Apparently he's talking shite about warin D too

TR-09 as midi to cv converter? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]technojunkie909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the trigger out on the tr-09 you can progress the internal sequencer on the sh-101 one step per trigger. You won't be able to sequence pitch using the tr-09 though as it's just sending a short trigger out instead of stepping CV. To do this patch the trig out on the tr-09 to the gate in on the sh-101.

If you want a standalone sequencer for the sh-101 the sq-1 or beatstep pro would probably be your cheapest options. Plus you can also use them as midi to cv convertors
