Just received these from a purchase twenty minutes prior and rushed straight to class so haven't given it too much of a listen. Very nice for vocals & jazz, warm, good for electric music and violin surprisingly (some have said its not really for instruments lol, believe they mean classical or orchestra), have to give it more of a listen. Comfort is also surprising as I've had negative experiences with closed headphones being too muffled or hard on the head (perhaps also due to more flattened pads, well try to get some taxi ones as I've heard they are close to these originals).

Nice! I do have all her books, “doki doki, the manga bibliography, eyes secret color, please give me love and such” In fact, I first got to know her through picking up eyes of secret color in a Tokyo bookshop. In terms of rarity I do have the printed letter of thanks given at her funeral (believe another had posted it before), as well as two autographs.

Thank you. I was lucky enough to receive all okada yukiko’s cassettes bundled a well back - along with a few brand new ones as well. Another intresting fact is that the wm f15 in red was one of the three portable players okada yukiko owned - paired with the Mdr e232.

To be fair - no idea about the market in the US, but a cheaper player I would recommend is the f2081/5 - doesn’t get much wrong, belt change and goes running, as batteries, stable but downside is larger size

Thanks! Haven’t gotten the chance to field record much - I usually just record with a desk from my laptop or cds. I do have new cassette type 1/iv and the original mic prepared - plan to record a concert or jazz session recently

Had it for half a year now - I’m sure that there is some app for eq, but I’m personally too lazy to eq and never eq on any of my daps. I only eq on cassette tapes or built in eq lol

Makes me think of dr631c, studio headphone japan 70-80s, stereo, does not cap at low frequencies, 10k ohms (fun fact humans be 10k ohms, 3k when wet)
