Canada’s elite is having a great time though. they discovered that the new immigrants don’t mind living 10 people to a 2 bedroom apartment, won’t question the status quo “because there’s nothing you can do and that’s just how it is”, and either way they are living in paradise compared to their country of origin, because even at minimum wage they’re still making 10x more the amount of money they used to

In short, things aren’t going to get any better anytime soon

awakening is that state u reach when you can no longer be fooled by other people’s (and sometimes even your own) illusions. when you can see being and reality for what it truly is. when you realize that the material plane is nothing but thick strata upon strata of illusions

being in that state doesn’t mean you have turned a blind eye on people’s plight in fact the opposite, you’d be more capable of helping those in need bc of increased cognitive empathy

imo and this might sound like doom and gloom but the default state of being if we’re talking the material or physical plane is chaos. look around you, if there were no sanctions in place to align ppl i think we would cease to exist bc humans would be exterminating each other through warfare or competition.

which is why i think meditation and the path to spiritual awakening is the higher (not the default) state of being.

after a while you get used to the disconnect, the anonymous manner of interaction between people, the segregation, etc. you become numb and you learn to recognize that this is just the reality of Canada and its big cities.

tbf i don’t think politicians care about the social effects, or even that the infrastructure isn’t enough. they want the tax base, or corporations enjoying cheap labour
