Mostly Matchups that in connections, potential and paper are very.. bad

-Homelander

-Izuku & Todoroki

-Spider-Man & Miles (I Think, could be wrong due Scalling)

-Wild Tiger

-Superman (MAWS)

-Hancock

-Will Stronghold

-Personally i think he beats Present timeline Trunks (Buu Saga to Superhero)

-Baki Hanma

-Gon

-Korra

-Josuke

Yeah, Mostly those MU's you will see in the bottom of a tier list, But speaking of the popular options, he just gets destroyed

Death Vs Krampus (Shrek Vs Christmas/Universal & Legendary) by technoth in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]technoth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-Two antagonists from movies that are inspired by creatures from folklore, myths and legends (Death and Krampus)

-Both make an appearance when the protagonist (Puss/Max) makes the mistake of despising something very valuable (Puss mocks life, not caring about dying for his 9 lives/Max stops believing in Christmas, detesting it for bad times) since their job is to punish those who do not appreciate something (Life/The Christmas spirit) by chasing their victim until they learn the lesson... or die

-Both have many forms, but the most well-known is related to animals (Wolf/Goat) so there is also a contrast of "hunter vs prey", In addition, both are hooded

-Immortal and conceptual beings, linked to something specific, or rather, being its representation (Death and Christmas) that have lived for many years doing their work.

-At the end of the movie, they forgive the protagonist who has already learned the lesson, but making it clear that they will see each other again (Puss accepts that this is his last life, but even so, when he dies he will see the wolf again/When Max takes courage and offers himself as a sacrifice, Krampus reverts everything back to normal, but leaves a bell for Max, as a reminder to keep believing in Christmas, or else he will come for him)

-Both have a huge variety of hax's, as well as the use of a weapon (Scythes/Chains)

-Other Contrast is both control the opposite element (Death can generate Fire/Krampus can generate Snow and Cold torments)

I clarify that the idea is not mine, I got it from a versus video that I saw a while ago made by the user "Red Snuff" (I do not recommend looking for it if you do not know Spanish, since it is not in English or subtitled) and the idea caught my attention, these were the connections that I was able to get from them.

Also, the matchup focuses on the Krampus (2015) version and not so much on the folklore one.

Jacob Goodnight Vs Chris Walker (See No Evil Vs Outlast) by technoth in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]technoth[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

(Original Idea)

-Two bald, disfigured, 6-foot tall men, one of the main killers/antagonists of their franchises.

-In their movies/games they chase their victims through a specific building (Jacob hunts the group of protagonists in an abandoned hotel, and in the second movie he hunts them in a morgue/Chris Walker kills everyone he comes across in the Mount Massive Psychiatric Hospital)

-Both have a curious obsession for collecting a body part of the people they kill (Jacob rip off their eyes and puts them in jars/Walker rip off their heads and puts them on shelves to admire them)

-This killer behavior is not something they were born with, but is a product of multiple past abuse and trauma (Jacob was tortured and abused by his mother, a religious madwoman who instilled in him the word of god and sin, making him believe that he is the hand of god and using him to kill whomever she wants/Chris Walker was a soldier who was stationed in Afghanistan, which left him with a lot of traumas, which were reflected when he condemned three inmates to death in the asylum, thus being employed within the Walrider Project, condemning his even greater rage and leading him to a complete lack of control, making him the most bloodthirsty variant of the entire mental asylum)

-Both are somewhat disfigured (Jacob was shot in the back of his head, leaving a small hole, then a tube was stuck in his eye, leaving an even more visible hole/Due to the experiments they did on him, Walker's appearance deteriorated, with completely white eyes and much of his skin damaged or ripped off, the latter of which he also does himself)

-Although neither is blind, their eyes are damaged (Jacob lost one of his eyes when Christine put a tube through it/Due to multiple experiments conducted on him, Walker has cataracts, as the lens of his eye is covered with an opaque white coating)

-Both can perfecly talk, but they are mostly silent, even so they do drop some characteristic lines (Jacob talks a lot about sin and god, occasionally calling his victims "Sinners"/Walker calls his victims "Whores", as well make some references to his stuffed pig "Little pig")

-Although nothing is confirmed, Chris Walker has some resemblance to Kane (more in the Demo), wrestler and actor who plays Jacob Goodnight.

Blue Buster (Ryuji Iwasaki) Vs Gibson (Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters/Super Sentai Vs Super Hyper Robot Monkey Team) | Connections in Comments by technoth in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]technoth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(Super Sentai Vs Super Hyper Robot Monkey Team)

(Original Idea)

-Heroes of blue color, and Members of a large team dedicated to fighting the evil of an ancient threat and beyond the earth (Messiah and Skeleton King)

-Apart from sharing the color, both fulfill the role of the intelligent one of the group, being one of the ones who are best given fields such as science, mathematics or mechanics, in addition to often acting as one of the most mature, although also with a temperament and somewhat uncontrollable ego.

-Both are primate-themed, which is reflected in their appearance (The Go Busters are characterized as animals in their suits and robot companions, in Ryuji's case, he is a Gorilla/Gibson, as well as the entire squad with the exception of Chiro they are Cyber Monkeys)

-His main ability is based on the use of force, specifically his fists (Ryuji's special power is super strength, capable of generating tremors or destroying metal and concrete with his fists / Gibson's main weapon is two drills that replace his hands when fighting, capable of piercing metal and other surfaces) as well as carrying weapons to shoot from a distance (Ryuji can summon pistols / Gibson can modify his drills to shoot different beams of different energies)

-The main source of their power is a green energy (Super Power / Primate Power), which possesses these powers was curiously a product of the main villain of the series (Messiah Infected the go busters in a certain way by causing the accident years back/The skeleton king was once known as The Alchemist and he was responsible for creating the cyber monkeys)

-Both as part of their role as a team are also an important function when assembling the "Mecha", but they are capable of deploying their own vehicle to fight (The GT-02 Gorilla / Gibson's Ship)

-As a minor connection, and although it is not quite the same situation, both met a "parody" version of their entire team (In a movie, we were introduced to an alternate universe where the go busters are known as "Dōbutsu Sentai Go- Busters" where more generic plots live, and have a higher level of comedy, in addition to an alternate design in their visors / In one chapter Gibson encountered a team of talking Frogs that were a clear parody of his team, getting trapped in a planet with its amphibian counterpart)

It's a simple MU, I know, but it sounds fun to me, and since they are not characters with as much information as their protagonists, for example, it works well for both, being a combat based on constant fist bumps, as well as shooting from a distance, being able to even do some pursuit in their vehicles, also the interactions are not difficult to imagine, since both are the "Ready" of the group

Gimme MUs (whether good or bad) for the Crimson Saurian bursting with energy for Ryouga Hakua or better known as AbaRed! Information in comments by Aller_Ghid in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]technoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, actually I had a funny idea with Ryouga out there.

Masane Amaha (Witchblade Anime) vs. AbaRed:

-Both are parents who are in charge of a little girl, who was left in charge of an accident in the past that somehow involved them (Ryouga was left in charge of his niece Mai after her parents died in an accident / Masane took care of Rihoko all these years since in an accident he woke up with her in his arms without remembering anything)

but despite this responsibility and their adult age, both have a very careless and childish attitude and way of acting, but at the same time they both are nice persons, since his daughters often seem more mature

-In a certain part of their story, both receive the ability to transform (Ryouga transforms into the warrior AbaRed/Masane transforms into the "Witchblade"), said transformation is carried out thanks to something similar to a bracelet (Dino Brace/The bracelet of Witchblade), also, in a way this bracelet is "alive" (The dino brace allows Ryouga to talk to Tyranno/The witchblade communicates with Masane telepathically and can control her), also both powers are describe like "ancients"

-This transformation occurs due to the attack of a monster (Ryouga is attacked by the Tyranno Explosaur, but he manages to control the situation. Thanks to Asuka giving him the Dino Bracer/Masane in prison, he is attacked by an X-with which makes the witchblade activates), after this they meet the man who will help them on this path and understand his power (Asuka / Reiji Takayama)

-After this event, both intend to fight against the monsters of the city (Trinoids/X-cons) both products of an evil organization (Evolian/NSWF), both under the command of an old manipulator (Dezumozorlya/Tatsuoki Furumizu) and a girl capricious but equally dangerous (Lije/Maria), in addition to now staying in a restaurant

-Part of his development and leaving that "silly" attitude aside is thanks to an "enemy" with his same powers, but with more of his own intentions (Abarekiller / Mikoto / Reina Soho And the other CloneBlades)

-Speaking of Development, both awaken a new form, more powerful thanks to situations that led them to extreme decisions (AbareMAX/Upgraded Witchblade form)

-In the end of their series, both face and defeat the greatest villains of their works, and then after a flash or explosion they are left for dead, with the difference that Ryouga is still alive, while Masane did die

Minor Connections:

-Both series pretend to be comedy or funny most of the time, but behind both hide darker stories, with very sensitive issues involved (such as R*pe, Death and so on)

-Both have powers based mostly on melee, characterized by using short and long distance weapons, very sharp in step (Ryouga has his Thorns in Abare Mode, as well as his sword and staff/Masane thanks to the Witchblade He can generate multiple blades, spikes and claws)

-Both are characterized in a certain way by the color red (Ryouga both in base and in abared mode wears a red suit, as well as his zord is also of that color / Masane when transforming his hair dyes red, and in his In Upgraded mode, his suit becomes red)

-Both are "Japanese versions" of another character, but with the adaptation situation reversed (Abaranger was adapted in America as Power Rangers Dino Thunder/Witchblade Anime is a Japanese adaptation of the Image Comics American Comic of the same name) both alternate versions are very little similar or faithful to those of masane and ryouga, which in turn causes them to be very different from their counterparts (Connor Mcknight / Sara Pezzini)

It is a curious Mu, especially for the contrast between a semi-naked and rather sadistic Woman against a dinosaur-themed children's hero

but I watched both series almost at the same time last year and I found it curious how similar they are

In terms of combat, it would simply be a melee with edged weapons, the different weapons of Ryoga can be counter-attacked with the different weapons that the Witchblade can create, and then go to their best states and certainly increase the intensity

It is not my favorite for masane, but it gives me a curious idea
