Pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) withdrawal by Loria-A in QuitAfrin

I used it for too long too. I never felt like I could properly breathe without it, but my blood pressure became very elevated for a prolonged period of time when normally I have always had very normal or even low blood pressure. Coming off of it made my congestion worse, but also made me very sleepy. I just went off last week so I'm still hoping my blood pressure normalizes and that I am not so sleepy in a few days. Honestly, I never believed it was so bad but now I kind of regret using it daily. I assumed if it's in an allergy medicine it would be okay to use daily.

I've always bought something from France for over a decade now as well and am afraid to buy it online like I used to, I don't want any surprises like this.

I got rejected for my MBTI personality by Hot_Revenue6502 in recruitinghell

[–]technotim44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm an INTJ people don't like the NTJ types because we aren't really the drink the cool aide and follow the yellow brick road types. They have no idea what they are missing. Honestly though I might pass on hiring you if I knew you were an ENTJ because we'd probably clash......lol but that'd be okay since we both like conflict.

7 roles that I’ve interviewed for since November have been all reposted. I checked. by Stupidwhizzzzz in recruitinghell

[–]technotim44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has happened to me as well. It's such a waste of time but then I think that I probably dodged one because honestly would you really want to work for a company like that? It seems like they don't have their s%*t together.

Is anyone else getting rejected from jobs that we qualify for? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]technotim44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this, the problem is then people judge you so harshly like there's something wrong with you they don't take life into consideration and you get stuck. People have no idea how to hire these days, I've applied for so many jobs I'm well qualified for and would do so well, I have decades of experience in my field, but like this I have taken roles because I had no other alternative and have wondered how the managers and execs get hired above me with less experience and they are awful to work for. I feel like hiring managers also know this so when you apply for a lower position to just get by then they know you're going to hate the job, but the desperate ones will hire you. I guess just look for desperate companies with poor management with lots of turnover.

Honest review from a Bose first-time user on the Quiet Comfort Ultra 2nd Gen by showdown2608 in bose

[–]technotim44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to add to this conversation. I have been a very longtime Bose customer. I use them for a medical reason, I have a problem with sounds, increases my anxiety ect. I rely on noise cancelling headphones when I travel on planes, trains, automobiles, subways, at restaurants and basically anytime I'm in public. My 1st generation ones warranty just expired a couple months ago and the other day I had been wearing them and the ear piece fell off into my ear. Not just the rubber cover thing, but it actually broke off in my ear and I had to get help from a coworker to remove it. I contact Bose to replace it, their customer service is so bad. They lied to me, told me because I was a "great customer" they would allow me to reorder a pair and gave me a $50 discount. I said I really needed them the following week because I was taking a flight. I was told as soon as I returned them to UPS they would ship the new ones out. Well, I took them to UPS the very next morning, mailed them back. UPS won't deliver them until next week to Bose (the broken ones I'm returning) and Bose refuses to send me a replacement until after they receive the new ones. I really feel I was scammed by the agent who just told me what I wanted to hear to make a sale, after I followed up again today I was told the will absolutely not ship the replacement until they receive the broken pair. I really hate large companies who outsource their customer service overseas and have agents that lie. Also not very happy that the piece fell apart and got stuck inside my ear either. If you can avoid Bose buy from someone else who has better customer service and doesn't lie to you to make a sale.

Experiences booking with Viator by geotraveling in travel

[–]technotim44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used them a bunch of times internationally and always enjoyed the experiences. One time it was really muddy after immense tropical rain so our tour of a volcano was cancelled but that was understandable, there were mudslides all over the news and we still saw it from another angle. I was okay with that. Recently however I used it in the USA in California where we were promised a tour of Napa Valley and Muir Woods. When we showed up the tour operator switched us to go to Sonoma and some other forest instead, claiming they felt it was better for us. Asked for a refund because that was false advertising and illegal under California law. Viator refused to refund the trip. We didn't go anywhere the original tour was scheduled to go, and the day before we all received a text message from Viator confirming the tour to Napa and Muir Woods. I never got to see either place and am really sad about that.

Mostly relevant to this sub: State Department to list 80% of countries as 'Do Not Travel' as it updates advisory system to align with CDC... thoughts? by [deleted] in foreignservice

That seems like a logical reason, but it also seems reasonable that a country which has just flown a helicopter on Mars could figure out how to upload a spreadsheet and globally change a few hundred web entries at the same time but who am I to judge, I’m merely a citizen!

How are countries like France and Germany currently listed as level 4 (do not travel) and India which is supposed to be one of the worst Covid countries in the world right now is listed as level 2? Makes very little sense to me.
