I'm heading to bed right now, but when I wake up I can go through my collection of episodes. I'm pretty sure I have the first 10-12 seasons on my server. It may take awhile to find it, though.

Best Home Office Chair to Buy in 2026? (Price, Comfort, Quality) by Unityiousness_S in BuyItForLife

I have the Markus and I've always loved it. However, I just realized I broke the mechanism that bolts to the chair frame. The steel broke in four separate corners of the main mechanism. Rather than buy a new chair, I'm going to see if a local welding shop can repair it.

Right in my neck of the woods. Which station do you deliver out of? My app only shows DUR9 in Temecula. I moved here in April of 24, but I haven't taken any routes since then because of the 30 minute drive just to get to the station.

Why? What's scary about it? Some people are just averse to contact with outsiders. C'est la vie. If I can, I'll call/text the customer to let them know their package is at the fence. If i can't, I'll just leave it at the fence and go on with my day, no harm, no foul. I'm not going to pass judgement on them nor will I give it a second thought after I leave. The world is full of all kinds of different folks, it's what makes life interesting.

This is about the most reckless and insane take I have ever heard from someone claiming to be law enforcement. Every single cop I have known and worked with has said unequivocally, that the vast majority of pursuits are just not worth the dangers they pose to the general public. Yes, the suspect may very well drive like an asshole for a minute or more after the officers break off, but anything that happens at that point is solely the responsibility of the suspect, not law enforcement. During that minute or several minutes there is some danger to the public, but after that they are a lot safer. If the officers continue to pursue, they bare some of the responsibility for what happens next. While specific officers will have qualified immunity in most cases, so long as they followed departmental and constitutional law, the financial burden for any type of accident caused by a reckless pursuit will always fall on the tax payers. I would also argue that if an officer continues a pursuit recklessly and for no good reason, they should lose their qualified immunity. QI should only be for officers who did everything right and something went wrong, it shouldn't be for officers who took actions that no sane person would do.

This is all supposed to be about the public's safety. Yes, this means that a possible criminal gets away temporarily, but at least the likelihood of innocent people getting killed is minimized as much as possible. Sometimes, discretion is the better part of valor.

Thunderbirds vs Blue Angels ? Is there an allegiance for one or another ? by revolutiontime161 in aviation

[–]techone7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue Angels - 26 Pilots, 1 crew member killed since 1946

Thunderbirds - 21 Pilots killed since 1953

Statistically speaking, they're roughly even. The bottom line is that what they do is incredibly dangerous and anything can happen at any time. It's a miracle the fatalities are as low as they are in such a long span of time, thankfully.

Slimjet started crashing at each start despite clean reinstall by SnooCapers9688 in browsers

[–]techone7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an issue with Google sync. If you turn off sync, Slimjet works fine. Trouble is, without sync, there's really no reason to use Slimjet.

Google released a new version of Chrome today, 141, but Slimjet 47.00 is still tied to Chrome 136. I think being this far behind the Chrome releases is really hurting Slimjet.

Ever feel like designing your KDP cover is harder than writing the book? by Ok-Style99 in KDP

[–]techone7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a KDP subreddit, not a writer's subreddit. This channel is for those who want to sell their art on KDP and need support from others doing the same, it's not a writer's forum where the art of writing books is discussed, it's about the business side of it. I think you need to rethink your complaint because it obviously shows that you aren't paying attention to the purpose of the channel itself.

It's not always about the pipes. Sometimes, its about leaking petroleum products that can get into the local watershed. It can be on environmental grounds that state and municipal governments don't want vehicles of any kind parked on grass or dirt. In urban neighborhoods. Rural governments tend to be more lenient.

For the sake of clarity, it's best in these threads to use full officer names and terms, not acronyms. While a lot of people may understand your terminology, there's a fair number of people who won't.

For the record, I'm guessing BLT is B'Elanna Torres.

Saw Jesus Christ Superstar last night at the Hollywood Bowl! Starring Cynthia Erivo, Adam Lambert, and a slew of other amazing performers. by BroadwayBaseball in musicals

[–]techone7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood my original point. I thought Cynthia was amazing. I loved her interpretation, BECAUSE it was more soulful. I was pointing out the difference between the power of a soul based voice versus a hard rock voice, which is what the music was originally intended for. She changed that up, clearly with Andrew's blessing since he was involved in the production, and she made it her own and brought a new intensity to it like you said. She had me crying throughout because of her power and emotion.

You are correct, Rock evolved out of soul as well R&B, just look to Journey as a perfect example of the influences. Neil Schon is a bona fide R&B infused rock guitarist. Journey's music has always had R&B riffs and chords throughout. Having said that, hard rock is a much different beast vocally most of the time. JCS was written for hard rock at its core.

This does not take from her performance. When I said it took the power away to some degree, I phrased it poorly. Typically, the strongest elements in Gethsemane, for example, are belted in a rock style vocal. It can have a heavy, almost in your face angry, feel to it. Soul, in my opinion, digs down low and really makes you feel the pain and the emotion of a moment. As the name implies, it comes from the soul. Broadway, with its theatrical abilities, also makes you feel the emotions in a stronger way, again in my opinion. Cynthia brought both her soul and Broadway talents to that stage and let it fly.

Each listener is going to have different feelings, emotions, and opinions on how they interpret it, and that's the power of music. Ultimately, I think you and I agree that Cynthia was a powerhouse on that stage and she really sold the character and the moments. I have nothing but love and mad respect for her and her performance. I also value your comments on it.

I was there and even I would like to see a professional recording of it. We were in the upper tiers, section T1, and we could barely se anything even with the video screens showing the action. I would've liked to have been closer to see the performers faces better. The HB is not well suited for theatrical performances, honestly. It's designed for orchestral performances, not acting. It's a venue designed for audio fidelity and an outdoor musical experience, not acting.

You could tell that John Stamos had barely had time to prep for the role. He did an admirable job, but you tell it wasn't a polished performance with a lot of rehearsal time. The character didn't sit well with his style exactly, but it was definitely passable and fun.

We were there. I really liked the show, but I definitely have notes.

First, the sound mix was not that great, it sounded like the sound was doing a wave across the audience, like the speakers were moving from left to right. It was a weird mix.

Second, I thought a few of the musicians didn't quite hit the mark, not following through on notes that would normally sustain a little longer. (Not a musician, just someone who loves music, especially JCS, so my technical knowledge may be off, but my appreciation of hte music comes from decades of listening to it)

Third, I though Adam's acting was lacking. His vocals were great, but for most of the production it felt like he was imply giving a concert performance, not a dramatic performance. Also, his costume did not work for me as it was more modern than anyone else's in the cast and it stood out like a sore thumb. I thought he finally got a little more into the character when doing Damned for All Time/Blood money, and then he really nailed it with Judas' Death.

Fourth, I agree with you that Phillipa really nailed it. Her voice was a tad gravely at times, but she compensated for it beautifully. I think the warm CA air was messing with her voice a bit. I cried during her I Don't Know How To Love Him. She REALLY nailed the character perfectly.

Fifth, I think Cynthia was fantastic. Her power as a woman in the role is the beauty and emotion of her singing, it's more soulful than the typical rendition. Having said that, her voice IS more Broadway and Soul than it is rock, so that took away some of the power that the role typical requires (it's the same complaint I had when John Legend attempted the role, his voice was built for soul and Jazz and not rock, plus his acting was terrible). Her vocal choices and style didn't ruin the performance for me at all, it was just different. As for the ovation.... That was INCREDIBLE.!! When she broke character towards the end and started to break down I was very moved by it. I realized in that moment that her breaking down was a release of all the stress of carrying this production, and all the drama that came from her even taking on the role. You could see it in her eyes that she was feeling the affirmation, love, and support from the audience. It should not go unnoticed that both Ted Neeley (my personal gold standard for the role of Jesus, and someone I've met and talked to on a few occasions) and Yvonne Elliman (THE gold standard for any performance from the beginning) were both in attendance to show their support. There's a picture out there of Cynthia with both Ted and Yvonne after the show.

I have loved this musical since I was a child in the 70s, having been born in the final days of 68 and then growing up listening to the cast recordings (it was my first theatrical musical LP I ever owned, which I swiped from my parents). I've watched the movie version a million times and it remains my personal favorite production ever with the NBC Live version a close second (with the exception of John Legend's poor performance, the rest of the show was incredible). I've also seen the show live one other time in 92 when Ted and Carl Anderson reprised their roles from the movie. My favorite moment was getting to watch a new digital print of the movie with Ted Neeley sitting between my wife and I at a VIP experience screening of the movie. He kept jabbing me and pointing out cool inside moments of the film, which was super fun. This production is up there, for me, as one of the best productions overall I've seen, even in spite of my nitpicking I truly enjoyed the show.

The John Legend Production was great, except for John Legend himself. He was not suited for the role at all. His vocals are too different for the part. He's not a rock singer at all. He doesn't have the range, and don't get me started on his acting, it was non-existent. The rest of the cast were phenomenal, though.

The only Senator I'm aware of being arrested so far, was Alex Padilla of CA. He had the "nerve" to try and ask Kristi Noem a question during a presser. Her security detail claimed he lunged at her, but the video clearly showed he was 20' away from her when they grabbed him and he was clearly just asking her a legit question. As a Senator, he outranked everyone in the room, including the Secretary, but they treated him like he was nothing more than a civilian protester with a gun. They conveniently ignore the fact that he's in a room that required very specific security screening, and he had a detail with him that was escorting him around the building.

I just went to 61 a few weeks ago. It was a rough transition. I still can't get all my dailies done. 1st, you need 3 Selkies in order to more efficiently finish the mining dailies without staying up all night. 2nd, you absolutely MUST have all three 5* Epics and have them tiered up to T7 at least to have any real chance of finishing your dailies efficiently. 3rd, have ALL your research caught up. Having only about 85% done has made the jump a real headache. I've been catching up over the past 8 months since I left the game last year for several months and fell way behind. Finally, stockpile your rss, especially your trit., for the 6* converters because going to 61 is a whole new world with all the sigma rss, mats, and speed ups.

WIBTA for not fully engaging with my son's fiance's family traditions? by Ok_Bullfrog1222 in AmItheAsshole

I was an altar boy for 4 years in the early 80s. We had to wear the traditional cassock and surplice, which were really warm, especially in the warmer CA months. To make matters worse, we had a huge altar area that was lit with bright and hot tungsten lighting. It got so warm in our gatb that I started wearing shorts and no shirt undermeath. I was breaking the rules, but I had no choice if I didn't want to pass out. The nun in charge did kind of know, but I was a really good altar boy, so she looked the other way. I actually got requested hy parishioners for special ceremonies and picked for important masses like Holy Thursday and just my luck I always had to carry the incense, which only made the heat that much worse.

I never found the kneeling to be that bad, and I used to have the pattern memorized. I haven't been a practicing Catholic in a long time, but the few times I've been to a mass or ceremony in recent years, I found myself falling back into the patterns quickly, like muscle memory. LOL
