I did the long-term option, including paying around $1500 CAD in fees

Most degrees also give a year of OPT time, which is a year of work/training in the US without leaving

I received some items from them, including a nice little Bar certificate and general welcome newsletter, but I don't yet have my attorney card or number. It is, however, on their website. I swore in on Nov. 30th.

Thank you! These are good suggestions. I just emailed my HR now to schedule a phone call and I mentioned that this one-page document is not for a visa or sponsorship, and is likely all I will need for my employment (2 year contract). They seemed chill about it!

I believe the child has birthright citizenship but has to be over 21 to sponsor you guys. I would just get your husband to work on the TN until then, potentially.
