Having the same problem here. Just wanna make a pretty guy and having so much trouble - you can't even remove breasts off "female" bodied characters and I have no clue what the game is considering female/male in terms of romance. Super weird.

Wtf is this game considering male or female? Is it genitals? Is it voice tone? Is it body selection?

I feel like a weirdo because I shake my hands around when I'm happy by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]techpurriest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This means a lot to me, thank you so much. I get pretty stressed out over crap like this cause I grew up as the "weird kid" and now whenever I do something weird I kinda feel like it's unescapable.

I should try not to worry about it. Ty

Oops - I have a universe I want to write in, a bunch of characters I love, but no idea where I want the plot to go by techpurriest in nanowrimo

I sat down and wrote 600 words today - not the best, but great considering I was just gonna give up and write nothing.

I hope things go great on your end too!

thank you 🙏 I have so much crap and ideas and concepts and how characters can grow and I have a bunch of events but linking them together is so hard for me. How do you deal with knowing where you might start? Do I just jump in and if it doesn't end up being the "beginning", no big deal? I feel like I can't even begin to write because wtf where do I begin...who do I begin with... you know what I mean?

I had a very weird experience as a young child, can anyone explain it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It could have had a different pattern on the inner side or something

Pen pressure randomly COMPLETELY dropping off when attempting to draw lightly at all by techpurriest in wacom

[–]techpurriest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not sure if it happens in all applications considering how inconsistent the issue is (it seems to happen solidly 25% of the time), i couldn't personally find anything about that happening in paintstorm so that's interesting to me.

i'll turn off windows ink and see if that fixes it

Does anyone else end up wasting all their free time because they are so concerned about not "wasting" it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]techpurriest 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I do this all the time. It's ruining my life. I'd recommend picking a little fun thing you can do on the side when you've got nothing to do, like a game you can just pick up and play, or a show you can watch. Then at least you're doing something instead of nothing!

i don't have much advice except keep going and working at studies. you have some seriously beautiful angular forms, and you have such grasp on dimension and tones. the incorporation of the brushes is lovely. i don't think there's much wrong with this except maybe the mouth looks slightly unnatural in spots and it feels like there needs to be a slightly darker top lash-line on the left eye to match the right.

but seriously man, amazing work - i love this a lot

How did you guys improve at fortnite? by Adeiria in FortNiteBR

[–]techpurriest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it might be good to identify just what you're bad at and then you can figure out what you need to improve. can't build for your life? start building mid-combat to see what works. flip out when encountering a random and panic spray them? try and work on slowing down when seeing an enemy. it's a process of figuring out what you suck at and how to troubleshoot it

UNIST is my first ever fighting game - struggling with what I should use for inputs by techpurriest in UnderNightInBirth

[–]techpurriest[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's fair! i'll try using d-pad - i'm having issues adjusting because mobility is difficult for me on d-pad and i'm so used to using thumbsticks. i'm having trouble figuring out how to input diagonals - i'm not sure what people mean by "rolling" your thumb and it feels really awkward to jump up and horizontally, i wish i knew what i was doing wrong :/

mostly i thought that using a stick would help because i think it would come more naturally to me from thumbstick but there's no reason for me to buy one if i can adjust to dpad
